This Isn't a Daycare, You Know!

(Hm, I forgot to mention yesterday: for Tear of Dawn's inscription, I used The Tale of Chasing the Sun, a song I really like.)

Bai Ye was quite satisfied with his newly acquired sword. Although Tear of Dawn could currently only sever spells and energy, when paired with the special Life Two-Sword Style, it could damage souls and consciousness.

However, Bai Ye believed that as his rank rose, this sword would be able to sever more and more things—planets, concepts, laws, divine power...

"Bai Ye, want some honey cakes?"

Just then, Miss Vulcan came out from the inner room carrying a plate of honey cakes and set it on an empty table nearby. As she called out to Bai Ye, she casually switched on the lights she had turned off earlier.

"Huh? Honey cakes? Mm, they're warm—did you make these yourself, Miss Vulcan?"

Bai Ye looked at the unfamiliar pastries on the table, as well as Ceobe reaching out to grab one.

"Yes, I made the honey cakes myself... Ceobe, wash your hands."

As Vulcan nodded in reply, she deftly caught Ceobe's hand as it reached toward the plate.

"They don't seem like Laterano sweets... Well then, I'll dig in!"

Bai Ye clapped his hands together, washed them with a water-conjuring spell, then dried them with Holy Flame before reaching out to take a honey cake from the plate.

The heated honey gave off a rich, sweet fragrance, making Bai Ye's eyes light up. He had always liked sweets.

"Hehe, honey cakes aren't Laterano desserts, of course. They're a specialty snack from Minos."

Vulcan smiled faintly and proceeded to explain Terra's honey cakes to Bai Ye.

"They're delicious. Thanks for the treat. I never expected a blacksmith like you to be able to make desserts too..."

Bai Ye gave Vulcan
