Background / History

Rhodes Island succeeded Babel, an organization once powerful enough to rival a political regime. By the time Bai Ye joined, Rhodes Island was rebuilding after Babel's decline and needed strength capable of protecting its ideals amid worsening global instability 142 500.

In the seventh month of 1096, Penguin Logistics established a close cooperative relationship with Rhodes Island. Emperor initiated contact on behalf of Rope, an Infected Penguin Logistics employee, and viewed Rhodes Island as an organization likely to become significant in the coming world crisis 131.

Bai Ye and the Penguin Logistics crew subsequently boarded the landship, received long-term rooms, and effectively became Rhodes Island members while retaining their Penguin Logistics connection 133. Kal'tsit soon recruited Bai Ye as an elite operator, citing both his combat ability and Rhodes Island's need for strength 142 150.

Rhodes Island's intervention in the Chernobog Core City incident brought it to the attention of higher authorities and drew increasingly unusual visitors to the organization. Kal'tsit later warned that some conflicts inherited from Babel might not truly belong to Rhodes Island alone 587.
