First was its speed. Melantha had drawn her sword so fast that the flash of steel had nearly vanished in an instant.

Still, Chen Hui-chieh had caught the trajectory of the strike through her years of combat experience and formidable swordsmanship.

Yet what surprised her was that she had blocked the wrong spot. If she had not used the Chi Xiao Sword Technique, she would not have been able to swiftly recover and intercept Melantha's strike.
