"Why are you back?"

Bai Ye and Texas rose from the sofa. Neither of them felt particularly embarrassed; their relationship had always been close, and they had come to Penguin Logistics together in the first place. Surely everyone at Penguin Logistics had long since prepared themselves mentally.

Exusiai's expression, on the other hand, was a little strange. The idol girl's eyes were wide as she looked at Bai Ye and Texas, her gaze somewhat unfocused.

"The boss finished assigning us our work, so he sent us over." Exusiai shook out her short hair as she spoke, took a box of apple pies from her bag, and set it on the table. She pulled one out and happily popped it into her mouth.

"What a shame, they've already gone cold..." Croissant casually set her hammer and shield against the wall. After washing her hands, she took one and began eating as well.

The trip from Lungmen to Rhodes Island took nearly half a day by car. The apple pies made that morning had long since gone cold.

"Cold apple pie has its own flavor too~"

Exusiai was not upset by the change in texture at all. Instead, she narrowed her eyes as though she were thoroughly enjoying it.

Exusiai stood silently to one side, staring at Bai Ye and Texas. No one knew what she was thinking.

Seeing this, Exusiai and Croissant seemed to notice something. They casually made up an excuse and left.

Before leaving, both of them gave Bai Ye an amused look. Exusiai even wondered whether she should join in the fun.

After all, Bai Ye had given her eight Guardian Guns and ammunition. She had quite a favorable impression of him.
