"Bai Ye!"

Not far away, the Lungmen Guard Department trio happened to spot Bai Ye helping Texas pick food with his chopsticks at the long table. Young Miss Swire smiled and waved at them, and the three of them headed over.

"Happy holidays!" Bai Ye greeted them with a smile as well. Then he looked at Young Miss Swire, dressed in her custom-made New Year outfit, and jokingly asked, "Young Miss Swire, got any red envelopes?"

"Who asks for red envelopes like that..." Nian, following behind Bai Ye, rolled her eyes and muttered under her breath.

"Hehe, Bai Ye, how did you know I prepared red envelopes?"

Swire laughed, pulled a red envelope from her pocket, waved it before Bai Ye, then generously handed it to him.

"In Lungmen, this is called 'lai see,' and giving red envelopes is called handing out lai see. I thought it was pretty interesting."

Having grown up in Lungmen, Young Miss Swire had been thoroughly localized. It was hard to tell that she was actually a young lady from Victoria.

Even though she had gone to Victoria for middle school, many of her habits had remained unchanged after she returned to Lungmen. Such as Lungmen profanity.

In truth, lai see did not contain much money, usually only ten or twenty Lungmen Dollars. The custom was meant to bring good fortune, so it had little to do with the amount of money.
