Synopsis:

While waiting for Delta Force's new season to launch, Han Fei played a round of Arknights—and transmigrated into the Delta Force Special Operations Center.

The good news: he could choose three operators at once and experience the power of a three-in-one build!

The bad news: he had become Private Zero!

Not only had his Haf Coins been reset to zero, but his assets and Special Operations Center had to be built from scratch as well.

"Swipe the card and storm Babel!"

"Why isn't the central control gate open? Where am I supposed to find my way around if it isn't?"

"? What do you mean, shut down the entire ship's defense system?"

Han Fei: "Let's loot an old lady first! Huh, who are you?"

Lemuen: "I never expected you people to understand Laterano." (raises her M700)...

Han Fei: "Let me ask one more thing—where the hell did this send me? Is this still the Delta Force I know?!"

Volume One: Private Zero Reporting for Duty!

The first thought that surfaced in Han Fei's mind the instant he opened his eyes was—Where the hell did this send me?

Wasn't I at home waiting for Delta Force's new season to launch? Where is this?!

Han Fei raised his head. On the two massive electronic screens to either side were unfamiliar data he could not make sense of, while the cylindrical structure directly ahead gave off a faint white mist.

Four large words were printed on it—Research and Development Department.

After a brief moment of confusion, Han Fei's brain jolted awake.

Holy shit, isn't this my Delta Force Special Operations Center?!

But unlike the Special Operations Center in Delta Force, there should have been a bald guy beside the Research and Development Department building in the game. Yet Han Fei saw no sign of that bald head.

"If this is the Special Operations Center and that's the Research and Development Department, then the Combat Department and Logistics Department should be behind me."

Han Fei muttered to himself, then abruptly turned around. What he saw confirmed his guess.

The brightly lit words Combat Department and Research and Development Department hung above the windows, but Old Black, Shepherd, and Luna—who should have been in their respective departments—were nowhere to be seen.

—The three of them were departmental heads responsible for issuing missions to players.

What the hell? Where are my operators?

Wait, where's my gear?

Han Fei was stunned. Under normal circumstances, when entering the Special Operations Center in the game, he would see the heads of each department, such as Old Black in the Combat Department and Luna in the Logistics Department.

Besides those two department heads, the Combat Department walls would be lined with firearms, while the Logistics Department was even more impressive, displaying the game's top-tier Level Six red armor.

Yet now, both departments had vanished without a trace—people and equipment alike.

"Nothing left? No way."

Refusing to believe it, Han Fei made a circuit of the Special Operations Center.

Then, to his surprise, he discovered that every operator who should have been in charge of the various departments had disappeared.

"Holy shit, there's not a single person here?"

After returning to the Research and Development Department, Han Fei was completely dumbfounded.

There isn't a single operator left. There's only the Special Operations Center—what am I supposed to do now?

Just as he was at a loss, a translucent green triangular icon suddenly appeared at the bottom of his vision.

"Hm?"

Han Fei hesitated, then tentatively reached out and tapped it in the air.

The next second, a familiar interface appeared before him in a translucent form.

Terms such as Start Game, Warehouse, Special Operators, Departments, and Marketplace appeared at the top of his vision. The interface was so familiar that Han Fei recognized it at once.

"It's you, Delta Force! Wait!"

Han Fei had barely been happy for a second when the number in the upper-right corner caught his attention.

Beside the silver coin icon in the upper-right corner was a highly conspicuous Arabic numeral—0.

"Holy shit? Where are my Haf Coins?!"

Han Fei went blank. He had been a launch-day player, fighting since the open beta. Since he was not purely a knife-run player, his total assets were not particularly high—only a little over 400 million. Excluding fixed assets like high-value loot, he had 150 million Haf Coins.

But now, not a single Haf Coin remained.

"Dude, where are my Haf Coins? Oh no, I'm a private now!"

That glaring zero made Han Fei think of something terrifying. He hurriedly opened his warehouse, and what he saw sent his blood pressure soaring.

"Dude, where did the stuff in my warehouse go? Where are my warehouse full of high-value loot and my five Hearts of Africa? Why did my max-level warehouse become Level One?!"

A terrifying thought surfaced in Han Fei's heart. He hurriedly opened the Special Operations Center upgrade interface, and what he saw made his vision go dark.

There were eight upgradeable projects in the Special Operations Center, but only two of his were at Level One: the Warehouse and Command Center. Departments like the Shooting Range, Workbench, Pharmacy Station, and Training Center had not even been unlocked. They were still at Level Zero.

"Fuck."

Han Fei could not help swearing.

Those upgrade projects demanded enormous amounts of time and money. Not only did he have to complete missions, he also needed specific rare materials to max them out. He had put a great deal of effort into fully upgrading every department, but now it had all been wiped away in an instant, turning all his work into bubbles.

"Forget it. Don't get mad, don't get mad."

Han Fei took a deep breath. It took several more deep breaths before he finally calmed down.

"I need to stay calm. I know I've transmigrated. Judging from my clothes, my physical body entered Delta Force. That makes what I need to do next simple: earn some Haf Coins first, or I'll definitely starve to death here.

"Then, since all the operators are gone, that means I might have to go in myself. Never mind whether I can beat anyone. I remember the first normal dam match is against bots, with two AI teammates. Let them fight the bots while I scrape the map clean and earn some startup capital.

"This first match is crucial. I need to strip every part of the map bare. The more I earn, the better."

Han Fei quickly sorted out his thoughts, then took another deep breath and resolutely opened the Pre-Mission Preparation menu in the lower-right corner.

With his action, a virtual map slowly unfolded before him. There were four selectable locations, but only Zero Dam and the Special Operations Center were white and available. Longbow Valley, Brakkesh, and Space City were red, indicating they could not be selected.

The locations were familiar, but the unfamiliar-yet-familiar map left Han Fei dumbstruck.

"Let me ask one more thing. Isn't this an Arknights map? Where the hell did this send me?!"

Han Fei's muttering echoed through the empty Special Operations Center. There were no operators to answer his doubts.

"Forget it. Since it's come to this, I'll do a knife run first."

With that, Han Fei opened Zero Dam's Normal Operation.

The next second, the loadout interface appeared before him, but that empty zero left him with no interest in clicking anything.

No Haf Coins, no cheese rolls—not even the cheapest recruit cheese rolls.

"Huh?"

The melee weapon slot made Han Fei's eyes light up. Instead of the most basic tactical knife, it contained Shadow Edge, which he had bought with money before.

He tapped it. The next second, five different knives appeared before him—Shadow Edge, Black Hawk, Tactical Knife, Mercy, and Crimson Sky.

The good news: the knives were all still there!

The bad news: only the knives were still there.

Han Fei equipped the folding knife Mercy. Looking at the empty equipment slots, he could not help complaining, "I guess this counts as changing gear."

The next second, he directly confirmed his loadout and pressed the Deploy button.

There was no matchmaking. The operator selection screen appeared before Han Fei in an instant.

Familiar operators such as Red Wolf, Veyron, and Hive Doctor stood in a row, bringing a flicker of pleasant surprise to Han Fei's heart.

"Does this mean I don't have to go in myself?"

Without a second thought, he selected Red Wolf.

Golden Rose's Red Wolf immediately appeared at the center of Han Fei's vision.

"Wait? I can choose more?"

Volume One: When Longing Flies Across the Night Sky

In Delta Force, each player could only choose one operator.

Han Fei had chosen Red Wolf because of his ultimate's speed boost. A player's first match was a fixed bot match with no real pressure, making it ideal for scraping the map clean. The faster he moved, the more than half the map he could loot.

And Red Wolf's ultimate speed boost was perfect for traveling, allowing him to loot the map faster.

However, after Han Fei selected Red Wolf, he unexpectedly found that the game had not started. He could even choose another operator.

"Why is that?"

Han Fei could not make sense of it. Then he realized, "Got it. This is for choosing characters for the bots, right?"

Since he was picking operators for the bots, he directly chose Hive Doctor.

He chose Hive Doctor because he had no healing medicine on him whatsoever. With Hive Doctor, he could at least get a heal.

It was no exaggeration to say that the two AI teammates in this account's first match were more comforting than random teammates most of the time.

Not only did they fight bravely, but if they had healing syringes, they genuinely used them on you. Unlike some random-match doctors, whose syringes never came out while their stomachs were perpetually starving.

Having selected a medic as one teammate, Han Fei hesitated for a moment over whom to choose for the other.

"I definitely won't pick an intel operator in a bot match. Mai Xiaowen and Luna can be ignored."

"Honestly, anyone works. How about Nameless? I haven't seen him in actual combat yet."

Nameless was a new operator introduced in the new season. Han Fei had watched videos of his skills before, so he had some understanding of them.

It was a bot match anyway, so it did not matter who he picked for the final character. Thus, Han Fei simply locked in Nameless.

"A reasonable choice!"

Han Fei praised himself and pressed the confirmation button.

The next second, his vision went black. When he came back to himself, he was already in a helicopter.

The familiar helicopter scene filled his vision. Before he could do anything, an operator kicked down the fast-rope and waved for him to get down quickly.

"Remember the following: engage, search, and get out once you're done!"

A familiar male voice rang beside Han Fei's ear. Before he could react, his body automatically slid down the rope.

When his feet touched the ground, the snowy-white landscape before him left Han Fei standing there like a wooden chicken.

As the cold wind howled, Han Fei could not help muttering, "Let me ask one more thing. Where is this? Is this still my Zero Dam?!"

No one answered. Only then did Han Fei realize that his two AI teammates, who should have been beside him, were nowhere to be found.

Instead, several additional skill slots had appeared in the lower-right corner of his vision.

Powered Exoskeleton, Triple Grenade Launcher, Stim Gun, Smoke Screen...

"Damn, there's even a three-in-one like this!"

With the skills of three operators gathered in one body, Han Fei did not dare imagine how strong he was now.

But the next second, he looked at the Mercy in his hand and began to doubt himself again.

"Am I really that strong?"

This place was definitely not Zero Dam. He could not see the familiar Cement Plant Administration Building or even the iconic dam. Everywhere was an expanse of snow-white land.

Standing amid the snow-covered forest, Han Fei could not even see the shadow of a building.
