That afternoon, Matthew arrived at Mindy's training base as promised.

Peter knew Matthew's identity and had a clear understanding of Daredevil's strength: he was at least stronger than this group of rookies. So he was curious how Hayato had managed to invite this superhero.

Mindy, being a little girl, was much ruder—Big Daddy had never properly taught her such things. She kept calling him "blind," deeply dissatisfied that Hayato had found a blind man to be their coach. She thought he was just brushing them off.

Hayato was not exactly brushing them off, but he truly did not want to teach three beginners martial arts from scratch.

Kung fu sounded fun and looked cool, but whether you were learning it or teaching it, it was actually an exhausting and tedious endeavor.

It was like envying someone else's defined abs and eight-pack, but did you know how much effort it took to build them?

Matthew had long grown used to being questioned. Not just in fighting—even in the legal profession, he had faced plenty of doubt and discrimination as a blind man. If there was a problem, he simply had to solve it.

So Matthew quickly beat Dave into submission.

Don't ask why Mindy was the one questioning him while Dave was the one who stepped up.

The answer was simple: the top of the food chain bullying the bottom.

The entire process could basically be summed up as follows: Dave stepped up, Dave got wrecked; Peter stepped up, Peter had no ability to fight back; Peter could only run around everywhere.
