Uchiha Qi stared fixedly at Sword Star for a long while before finally gritting his teeth. "You win. Whatever you want."

"Fine. A gentleman's word is his bond, so don't regret it later."

"I swear on the honor of the Uchiha Clan."

Sigh...

Sword Star sighed inwardly. He talked about the Uchiha Clan with every breath and honor with every sentence, yet he used it so cheaply for an oath. If he really lost, would he refuse to regret appearing in women's clothing or eating shit upside down?

Of course! Sword Star had risen above such lowbrow interests and would never make those kinds of demands.

As long as it was equal, whether he called him "big brother" or "dad" didn't matter. He couldn't be allowed to show off if he won while Sword Star had to act like an idiot if he lost.

"Get the teacher over here. I'm ready whenever." Sword Star began loosening up.

At the ninja academy, if students fought while no teacher was present, it was a private fight—commonly known as a brawl. If a teacher was present, however, a private fight became a sparring match.

Private fights were mutual beatings between companions that damaged the academy's unity and stability. Lose, and you went to the hospital; win, and you got detention. There was no value in it at all.

Sparring was different. It was a friendly exchange, a way to improve skills and promote mutual progress. The ninja academy encouraged students to resolve conflicts through sparring. Put simply, it burned off the brats' excess energy so they would not blow up the school.

The two academy teachers—Chunin Fukuda Ichiro and Jonin Nakamura Yuki—hurried over after hearing the news, drawing a large crowd of students along with them. Spectators never feared making trouble worse, and
