Hayato was not entirely joking.
When ordinary people ate something too spicy for the first time, they could easily get dizzy. Spiciness stimulated the dilation of blood vessels in certain parts of the body, accelerating blood flow—especially in the stomach—causing reduced blood flow to the brain and oxygen deprivation.
Hayato had never seen anyone as fanatical as Peter on his first try.
