Waking from a good sleep, Hayato felt refreshed.
Coulson called to say that Nick Fury wanted a secret meeting. Hayato refused without a second thought.
What a joke.
Wasn't that black boiled egg best at making empty promises and getting you to risk your life for free?
The problem was, Hayato wasn't a free and proud American citizen. Showing concern for innocent lives was already the limit of his benevolence. And this bastard wanted to push his luck and make him risk his life?!
Hayato could not even be bothered to meet him.
If they actually met, he might just slap him across the face on behalf of all those people who had risked their lives yet received not a shred of trust.

Coulson wanted to say more, but Hayato simply threw out a "Get lost" and hung up.
Holding the phone that still retained its warmth, Coulson blankly took a sip of black tea and muttered, "Could Hayato have seen straight through Director Fury's true nature?" He then asked Skye beside him, "Does Director Fury really look that much like a bad guy?"
"Remove the word 'like,' and that one-eyed bastard's appearance alone would be enough to sentence him to ten years in prison," Skye replied. "Also, it's former Director Fury."
If he were still the current director, Skye would not have dared to spout such blunt truths.
That was just how real it was.
Skye was exhausted and spoke weakly. Because of the commotion Hayato had caused, every S.H.I.E.L.D. employee in New York, from upper management to janitors, had worked overtime all night.
"What a coincidence, I was thinking
