Nick Fury's gaze shifted to Peter and Dave, finally settling on Dave.
He knew Peter well. After all, once Spider-Man had drawn attention, Nick Fury had been the first to try recruiting Peter.
He had then approached Peter through Tony Stark.
But Tony seemed unwilling to drag a teenager into all sorts of danger. So, he had been ambiguous about recruiting Peter, neither making a clear offer nor completely giving up.

"Not exactly. My Gun Kata focuses on evasion and close-quarters combat."
"Oh, demonstrate it." Nick Fury said.
