Within the space sealing Hela away, she witnessed Odin's death through a projection screen.
"Odin is dead. How does that feel? Satisfying?"
Hela shot Hayato a sidelong glance. "Satisfying? Before he died, he fulfilled all his wishes. He died without a single regret, far too comfortably."
"That's true."
Hayato rubbed his nose.
Odin had lived a long life and fulfilled his wishes before dying. By Earth's standards, he had died a good death—even a joyous one. How could Hela find that satisfying? She was probably even more frustrated now. The very person she wanted revenge on was gone.
They said a father's debts were paid by his sons. Hayato did not know whether Asgard had such a saying, but the way Hela looked at Thor had changed.
Hayato said, "Thor has only just gained the Odin Force. Even if Surtur is still recovering, Thor still can't beat him. And even if he could, one mistake in controlling that energy and Asgard would explode on the spot. Are you okay with that?"
Hela's expression froze at Hayato's words.
Asgard was the source of her power.
In this world, she was certainly one of the people least willing to see Asgard destroyed.
Hayato's words had instantly struck her weak spot.
"Hmph! I'll kill you sooner or later!"
Hela glanced at Hayato.
Hayato spread his hands. "Heh, I'm so scared... How much of your power have you recovered? Don't deny it. If the enemy is Surtur, even Odin at his peak wouldn't dare take him lightly, much less when he was close to death. He definitely drew power from the seal. You've been accumulating strength from the very beginning, haven't you?"
"About fifty percent." Hela said coldly, "You knew from the beginning? And you still dared to play chess with me so leisurely?"
