"Lord Danzo! Something terrible has happened!"
Somewhere in a hidden space beneath Konoha.
Danzo's office door was suddenly shoved open violently by one of his subordinates.
He looked up with a frown, his gaze brimming with killing intent. "What is it?"
If this subordinate failed to give him a good reason, then for barging in so rudely, Danzo was prepared to send him on a suicide mission.
"Hyuga Wuye has brought the Konoha Police Force to surround your clan!" the ninja immediately said.
"What? What did you say? Say that again?"
Danzo could scarcely believe his ears.
"Lord Danzo, the Shimura Clan compound has been sealed off by the Konoha Police Force," the ninja repeated.
Only then did Danzo confirm what he had heard.
Rage surged up in an instant, only to be forcibly suppressed.
"Have you found out why?" he asked in a low voice.
The ninja hesitated before saying, "It seems some Uchiha Clan ninja said... said that the Shimura Clan's embezzlement of military supplies has been exposed."
Danzo's mind buzzed, and he nearly collapsed back into his chair.
He took several deep breaths before calming himself somewhat.
In truth, he did not care much about the Shimura Clan's interests. Even if they were fined away most of their assets, it did not matter, so long as it did not affect his own position.
But this was different. He had placed many clan ninja in the Logistics Department, and they were the backbone supporting his position.
If those clan ninja were removed because of this matter, his influence in the village would be greatly affected!
"Leave."
Danzo waved his hand.
The Root ninja immediately vanished.
"Embezzling military supplies..."
Danzo lightly tapped the desk with his fingers.
He did not return at once, instead carefully analyzing the situation.
He
