"I mean, you knew you couldn't escape, so why did you run?"
Wuye crouched in front of Temari.
"Hmph."
Temari turned her childish little face away.
"We don't have any grudge against each other. Just consider it an invitation to stay in Konoha for a few years. Once this is over, I'll let you return to Sand Village. How about it?" Wuye said with a light laugh.
Temari glared at him bitterly. "You killed my father!"
"Don't take your anger out on the wrong person. Didn't you see Orochimaru kill him? What does that have to do with me?" Wuye said innocently.
"You call him Teacher!" Temari continued glaring.
Wuye sighed. "He's a Konoha rogue ninja. So what if he used to be my teacher?"
Temari froze. "A rogue ninja?"
Her seven- or eight-year-old mind was already quite sharp, and she immediately came to a conclusion.
"But you were just discussing how to scheme against Sand Village! You're on the same side as him!" she shouted angrily.
"Oh... if you insist on seeing it that way, then suit yourself..."
Wuye casually took out a thick, long rope and tied Temari's hands together, fastening the other end around his wrist.
"Let's go."
He turned and started walking again as if nothing had happened.
Temari wanted to lie on the ground and refuse to move, but Wuye paid her no mind. He simply dragged her along the dirt, making her so uncomfortable that she eventually had no choice but to get up.
But before long, Wuye grew a little bored.
"It'll be so slow getting back like this..."
He suddenly turned to look at the filthy Temari. "Hey, let's discuss this. Don't struggle around, and I'll fly you there. How about it?"
Temari just glared at him.
