"Amazing, amazing!"
Kushina circled around Wuye and Konan as they descended from the sky.
It was already the middle of the night.
Wuye held the weak and limp Konan in his arms. He had intended to head straight back to the room to rest, but Kushina and Mikoto caught him red-handed.
"Wuye, under the moon's witness, did it feel special?" Mikoto seemed very curious.
Wuye broke into a cold sweat. "It... it was nothing much..."
"Ah, so there was no feeling..."
Kushina lamented loudly, "Mikoto and I had wanted to try going up into the sky with you too, but if there was nothing special..."
"No, no, no, it felt especially good! Really!"
Wuye instantly spoke up, and even his body, which had just gone limp, immediately recovered.
"Bastard..."
Feeling the change in him, Konan weakly bit his shoulder.
"Konan, he's always like this. Running back and forth between two rooms in the middle of the night is normal for him. You'll get used to it."
Kushina wore the expression of someone speaking from experience.
Mikoto nodded in confirmation.
Konan glanced at the two of them and asked weakly, "Why doesn't he carry both of you to bed too?"
Kushina and Mikoto: "..."
The two looked at each other, their cheeks flushing again.
Wuye pretended not to hear.
That had always been his goal. Saying it aloud would only make it harder. If he brought it up someday when Mikoto or Kushina was all dazed and muddled, he might succeed in one stroke!
"Konan and I are going in. You two should rest early too."
Wuye bid them goodnight, then carried Konan back to the room.
Kushina and Mikoto looked at each other before joining hands and returning to the same room.
If Wuye had launched a surprise attack tonight,
