"Quit fooling around. I'll take you out to have some fun."
Inside the sealing space, Wuye held out his fist to the Nine-Tails.
"Tch."
The Nine-Tails wore a disgusted expression.
"Hey, Kurama, once everything is settled, you can go wherever you want. You can even do that now, but I still need your help," Wuye said with a smile.
The Nine-Tails looked down at him as countless messy memories surged forth.
There were no particularly heartwarming memories. They were all everyday scenes of fooling around with Wuye, chaotic games, and punishments where they screwed with each other...
But it had to admit that these had been the happiest years of its thousand-year existence.
Wuye had never tried to persuade or reform it, nor had he shown the slightest disgust toward it. From the very beginning, he had treated it like an ordinary friend.
There were no demands, no hatred, and no talk of purifying the resentment in its heart. He simply treated it without any pressure.
Even Kushina had been influenced by him to become the same way.
For some reason, when Wuye said it could leave at any time, it felt reluctant.
"At the very least, I'll help you release that Kaguya Otsutsuki before I leave. Don't you still need my chakra to fuse with the Ten-Tails?"
The Nine-Tails raised its mountain-sized fist before Wuye.
"Yeah..."
Wuye bumped fists with it, then said, "Aren't you afraid I won't let you out again?"
"Tch!"
The Nine-Tails looked disdainful. "What does this old man have to fear!"
Wuye smiled, withdrew his hand, and turned around.
"Let's go!"
Outside.
A dense golden radiance suddenly burst from Wuye's body. His collar rose, and golden light spread across his Imperial God Robe.
Chakra flared brilliantly, repelling all the dust around him.
"Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!"
