Fugaku's Threat

Fugaku found Itachi, who was utterly despondent.

Itachi had already lost faith in his clansmen.

Now, the only things that could still stir any emotion in Itachi toward the Uchiha clan were probably Sasuke and the Uchiha name itself.

Itachi sensed his father's arrival, but he did not tell him that he had awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan.

Itachi said, "Father, Shisui is dead."

But Fugaku said, "I saved him."

Itachi spun around sharply, his face full of disbelief. "Father, what did you say?"

Fugaku said, "This evening, Sasuke insisted on taking a walk by the Naka River, so I went with him. We happened to see Shisui jump from the cliff. Itachi, tell me, what happened?!"

A trace of hostility appeared on Itachi's face. "It was Danzo!"

Then, Uchiha Itachi told him everything about Shisui.

After hearing it all, Fugaku's expression remained as still as an ancient well, but he was already angry.

Fugaku said to Uchiha Itachi, "Itachi, I know that after you and Shisui joined the Anbu, you did not merely consider the clan. You cared even more about the village.

"But Shisui, who cared for the village, ended up having his eyes gouged out by Danzo. Itachi, promise me this.

"Come with me to Root today. How about we seek justice for Shisui?"

Itachi nodded. As long as the clan did not rebel,

seeking justice for Shisui was something Itachi was more than willing to do!

After returning to the Uchiha compound, Fugaku shouted, "Uchiha clansmen, Shisui was harmed by Danzo! Danzo took Shisui's Kotoamatsukami!"

"Our Uchiha clan will never allow ourselves to be bullied like this!"

"Clansmen with three-tomoe Sharingan, step forward and come with me to Root!!!"

There were eighteen Uchiha clansmen who had awakened the three-tomoe Sharingan.

Including Fugaku and Itachi, there were twenty in total.

Twenty Uchiha clansmen, clad in Konoha Military Police uniforms, headed toward the Hokage's office.

Meanwhile, elsewhere.

Inside the dark Hokage's office, the Third Hokage and Danzo sat facing each other.

Danzo spoke first. "Hiruzen, Shisui is dead. He was poisoned by Hanzo's poison. Death was inevitable."

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned. "You killed him?"

Danzo nodded without hesitation. "That's right. I didn't trust Shisui. I was afraid he would use his Kotoamatsukami against either you or me, so I killed him!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi slammed his hand down on the desk.

He shouted furiously, "Danzo! Do you know how important a clansman who has awakened the Mangekyo Sharingan is to the Uchiha clan? Aren't you afraid the Uchiha will rebel?"

"Do you know how troublesome the Uchiha clan is? And if we go to war with them, the people of Kumogakure and Iwagakure will absolutely take advantage of the situation!

"Danzo, do you know what you've done?"

Shimura Danzo said unhurriedly, "Hiruzen, don't panic. If the Uchiha clan were still as glorious as before, I would never have dared to plot against Shisui. But now, only Fugaku among the Uchiha has awakened the Mangekyo. What do we have to fear?"

Suddenly, an Anbu member wearing a mask appeared and said to Hiruzen Sarutobi, "Third Hokage, twenty members of the Uchiha clan are advancing on the Hokage Building!"

"Yes, Lord Danzo!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzo slowly walked to the front of the Hokage Building.

Then they looked at the Uchiha clan led by Fugaku.

The Third Hokage still tried to put on the Hokage's airs. He said in a deep voice, "Fugaku, take your clansmen and leave now. I will pretend nothing happened tonight!"

But Fugaku stepped forward, and the three tomoe in his eyes transformed into the Mangekyo.

Fugaku ignored the Third Hokage and instead said to Danzo, "Lord Danzo, aren't you going too far? Do you really think our Uchiha clan is so easy to bully?"

Shimura Danzo remained silent.

The Third Hokage frowned. "Is your Uchiha clan trying to rebel?!"

Fugaku shouted, "Third Hokage! Your people have suppressed the Uchiha clan for so many years, and I said nothing!

"You feared the Uchiha and kept stripping away our authority, and I said nothing!

"But now, this Shimura Danzo gouged out Shisui's eyes for no reason, then killed Shisui. Our Uchiha clan will never tolerate this!"

Shimura Danzo waved a hand. "Root, move out!"

The next moment, masked figures appeared atop the surrounding buildings.

Danzo said, "The Uchiha clan is suspected of rebellion. Kill them where they stand!"

Itachi said, "Lord Danzo, are you the Hokage, or is the Third Hokage the Hokage?"

Danzo was embarrassed for a moment.

He truly did not have that authority. Danzo looked toward Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Hiruzen Sarutobi's gaze shifted.

The fact that the Uchiha clan had come here today showed that they were dissatisfied with the current state of affairs. They would absolutely become a threat in the future.

But if he attacked the Uchiha clan now, the other villages might take advantage of the situation.

Unless he had a way to wipe out the Uchiha clan with almost no losses!

Fugaku said, "Very simple. Make Danzo hand over Shisui's eyes!"

The heads of Konoha's prominent clans had all come here to watch this rebellion-like incident.

They had also learned that Danzo had killed Shisui and taken his eyes.
