Summoning Minato

After three days of travel, Chentian arrived at the capital of the Land of Water. Kakashi and Rin Nohara's mission was to investigate the abnormalities in the Land of Water.

Although Chentian knew exactly what was going on, he had no way to explain the source of his information. Besides, such a major battle was bound to yield quite a few cards.

"They're here!" Chentian, who had been pacing back and forth near the city gate, suddenly brightened as he recognized Kakashi and Rin Nohara in civilian clothes.

That distinctive head of hair was simply impossible to miss.

If I remember correctly, the ninjas of the Land of Water kidnapped Rin Nohara and used her to lure Kakashi into rescuing her. I should just follow Rin Nohara, otherwise Kakashi might notice me.

Compared to Kakashi, who was already a jonin, Chentian preferred to keep an eye on Rin Nohara, who was only a chunin. That would make him far less likely to be discovered.

As soon as they entered the city, Kakashi and Rin Nohara split up. Kakashi went to a tavern, while Rin Nohara wandered casually through the streets.

"It should be them!" Watching the three people emerge from around a corner, Chentian quietly suppressed the fluctuations of his chakra.

The leader of the three was a jonin, while the other two were chunin.

This lineup was nothing to Kakashi and Chentian, but it was more than enough to deal with Rin Nohara.

Should I stop them? Chentian watched as the three approached Rin Nohara as though nothing was amiss.

Seeing that the trio had nearly reached her, Chentian shook his head. "Forget it. Once the Three-Tails has been sealed, I'll have Minato bring it back to Konoha with him!"

"Move!"

In an instant, the three Hidden Mist ninjas sprang into action. The jonin covered Rin Nohara's mouth and nose with a drugged cloth while restraining her movements.

Before Rin Nohara could react, she had already been knocked unconscious.

"Retreat. Take her to my lord immediately." As he spoke, the trio had already left with Rin Nohara.

Most of the people on the street did not notice what they had done. Even those few who did see it did not dare make a sound.

Chentian carefully observed his surroundings but failed to find Black Zetsu. Still, he knew Black Zetsu had to be nearby.

"Forget it. All I need to do now is wait."

With the plan proceeding smoothly, Chentian sauntered away and went to sample the seafood of the Land of Water.

No matter how fast Uchiha Madara was, sealing the Three-Tails and luring Kakashi over would take at least a day. Chentian was in no hurry.

Meanwhile, back in Konoha, Minato had already been lectured by Kushina more than once.

"Tell me, what do we do now?"

Kushina slammed her palm onto the table, glaring fiercely as she asked Minato in irritation.

Minato smiled helplessly and explained, "Don't worry. Others can't use the Flying Thunder God to contact me, but Chentian can because he has a talent for space. He may not be able to send a message, but it's enough for me to know if he encounters danger."

As he spoke, Minato picked up the letter Chentian had left behind and examined it. He looked it over several times but found nothing.

Only after turning the letter over did he spot a line of tiny writing in the corner: "Wait for my notice. Bring Kushina with you."

"Kushina, look! Xiaotian left us a message here." Excited, Minato grabbed Kushina and pulled her over.

Kushina had been about to lose her temper, but upon hearing that Chentian had left a message, she forcibly suppressed her fiery temper.

"Keep watch carefully. When the message comes, we'll go together!" Kushina immediately made the decision.

Kushina had not been allowed to leave Konoha before, but now Minato was the Hokage. Although the Third Hokage still controlled much of the power behind the scenes, the restrictions placed on Kushina had been loosened.

After discussing it, the two decided to do as Chentian had instructed.

The two of them understood Chentian's extraordinary intelligence better than anyone, and neither believed he would harm them. Thus, they did not hesitate in the slightest.

As the sun rose and the moon fell, a day passed in the blink of an eye. Chentian stretched as he walked out of a hot spring tavern.

Remembering the gentle massage from that young lady last night, he still found himself savoring the memory. If he had done something like that in Konoha, Kushina would definitely have broken his legs!

After reminiscing for a moment, Chentian set off toward the plains fifteen kilometers west of the city on his short little fifty-centimeter legs.

He had spent several hours scouting out the location the night before.

Before setting out, Chentian had deliberately changed into the clothes of a little beggar to prevent Black Zetsu from noticing him.

With his current strength, he could not detect Black Zetsu's surveillance. He could only disguise himself as a little beggar to stay hidden.

When he arrived at his destination, no one was there yet. Chentian went alone behind a small hill.

He took out a blackened steamed bun from his storage space and held it as though it were a precious treasure, then quietly waited for the actors to take their places.

Chentian did not have to wait long before dozens of Water ninjas came running from the distance, chasing Rin Nohara.

At the sight before him, Chentian nearly burst out laughing. It was simply too ridiculous.

Though those dozens of people looked fierce and imposing, every one of them was a genin, weak as chickens.

"Rin!"

Suddenly, a figure came sprinting out of the distant forest. It was Kakashi.

Kakashi's face was full of anxiety and fury. He moved so fast that even Chentian could not compare.

"Lightning Blade!"

As he charged forward, Kakashi's Sharingan spun wildly in his left eye while deep blue lightning gathered in his right hand.

A bottomless trench silently appeared in Kakashi's wake. In the blink of an eye, he plunged into the crowd.

They were only a group of genin. Before Kakashi, they were no different from watermelons, and more than a dozen died instantly.

"Damn, there's actually a hidden character here!" Chentian suddenly spotted a jonin pursuing them from afar, and he shuddered in fright.

He had not noticed this person earlier. If that jonin had come to ambush him, then the consequences...

In the instant Chentian was distracted, the situation on the battlefield changed. Rin Nohara stared fixedly at the Lightning Blade in Kakashi's hand.

"Now!" Chentian immediately used his spatial talent to channel chakra into the shuriken in his hand.

In the next instant, Minato and Kushina appeared before him.

"Go save her!" With no time for further explanation, Chentian shouted at Minato. Rin Nohara had already charged toward Kakashi, and no one but Minato could stop her.

Minato did not waste any time either. With a single glance, he grasped the situation. He used the Flying Thunder God to appear beside Kakashi, seized Kakashi's arm, and redirected the Lightning Blade.

With his other hand, he caught Rin Nohara and protected her.
