A Secret Meeting in the Hokage's Office

Though Orochimaru was powerful, neither Minato nor Kushina was any weaker than him. Orochimaru had remained at a disadvantage the entire time and could only struggle to hold on.

If Minato and Kushina had truly intended to kill him, Orochimaru would probably have died two or three times already.

Even so, he was close to being unable to hold on. At most, he would be defeated within a minute.

Orochimaru had yet to develop many of his ninjutsu. Things like the Orochimaru-style Substitution Technique and the Soft Body Modification Technique did not even exist yet. Otherwise, he could have lasted a while longer.

Orochimaru himself was utterly baffled. According to his expectations, Hiruzen Sarutobi should have come alone. There was no way Minato could outplay that old schemer.

Just as Kushina was about to successfully seal Orochimaru, Hiruzen instantly summoned Enma and prepared to smash Orochimaru to death with a single blow.

It would naturally be best if Orochimaru could be spared, but if that was impossible, then he had to prevent Orochimaru from being captured alive!

However, after releasing a Water Dragon Bullet at the start, Chentian had kept his eyes on him. How could he possibly let him succeed so easily?

"Tailed Beast Bomb!"

None of his other techniques, not even the highest-level and most powerful Water Dragon Bullet, could threaten Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Compared to the Nine-Tails' Tailed Beast Bombs, which were several meters wide at the smallest, it looked pitifully weak.

Even so, it would be enough to kill Hiruzen Sarutobi if it hit.

While condensing the Tailed Beast Bomb, Chentian slyly shifted his feet a few times, placing Hiruzen Sarutobi and Orochimaru on the same line.

Sensing the terrifying chakra fluctuation behind him, Hiruzen Sarutobi suddenly froze. He whipped around at incredible speed and met Chentian's watchful gaze.

With that brief delay, Hiruzen Sarutobi completely lost his final chance. Kushina had already subdued Orochimaru.

Several seals landed on Orochimaru's body, sealing away all his chakra. Only then did Minato and Kushina stop.

Seeing this, Chentian slowly dispersed the miniature Tailed Beast Bomb before him and said to Kakashi, "Kakashi, come help me up. I can't stand steadily without chakra!"

"Chentian, you dared attack me? Are you trying to betray the village?"

Furious and humiliated, Hiruzen Sarutobi immediately slapped a huge accusation on him.

The moment those words were spoken, Minato, Kushina, and Kakashi were all stunned. Their eyes were filled with nothing but worry.

They had seen what happened earlier. Chentian's Tailed Beast Bomb had indeed been aimed at Hiruzen Sarutobi.

Worst of all, more than a dozen Anbu had witnessed it. There was no way to deny it.

Determination flashed through Minato and Kushina's eyes, but they had no chance to speak.

That was because Chentian, who was limply leaning against Kakashi, blinked his bright eyes and looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi with an innocent expression. "I was clearly trying to hit Orochimaru, but Lord Hiruzen rushed over and blocked my attack himself. To avoid hurting you, I didn't attack at all!"

When everyone thought it over, that really did seem to be the case!

Without Hiruzen Sarutobi there, Chentian's attack had indeed been aimed at Orochimaru.

And Hiruzen Sarutobi really had rushed over himself! Everyone had seen it happen.

After Kakashi sent him home, Chentian lazily sprawled across the sofa and sighed. "Sure enough, nothing feels better than slapping the face of a big shot!"

Chentian went home to rest, but Minato and the others were still on their way to the Hokage Building.

"That kid from earlier was Chentian? He's only six, yet he's already no weaker than us!"

"Quit flattering yourself. Could you have taken that final move of his?"

"Ah! He's only six and already stronger than us. What a genius!"

For the sake of secrecy, Minato had the Anbu disperse first. After leaving Minato and the others, they began chatting among themselves.

Just then, an Anbu who had remained silent the entire time suddenly asked, "Do you think Chentian might become a second First Hokage once he grows up?"

The moment he said that, everyone fell silent.

They wanted to believe it was impossible. There had only been one First Hokage, and no one else could possibly become that powerful.

But reason told them that Chentian, who was already a jonin at six years old, becoming as powerful as the First Hokage in the future was perfectly normal.

After returning to the Hokage's office, Hiruzen Sarutobi requested to personally interrogate Orochimaru.

Minato and Kushina exchanged glances, revealing expressions that said they had expected as much.

Then Minato, who had always obeyed Hiruzen Sarutobi, decisively rejected his request and said that he still had matters to attend to, so if the old man had nothing else to do, he should leave quickly.

With his nose nearly twisted out of shape by rage, Hiruzen Sarutobi could only leave helplessly. He almost smashed the office door shut.

After Hiruzen Sarutobi left, Minato and Kushina did not interrogate Orochimaru. Instead, they began talking with him.

The three of them whispered in the Hokage's office for a full three hours. Only when the sun was about to set did Kushina undo Orochimaru's seals.

After regaining his freedom, Orochimaru did not flee. Instead, he revealed a friendly smile before quietly leaving the Hokage's office without anyone noticing.

After Orochimaru left, Kushina checked several times to make sure no one was eavesdropping before asking, "Minato, how did Little Tian know that the old man would want Orochimaru, and that Orochimaru would listen to us because of it?"

That was right. Everything Minato and Kushina had said earlier had been instructed by Chentian beforehand.

"Everyone has secrets. Little Tian's secret is simply a little bigger. There's no need to ask, as long as he can't harm Konoha."

"That's true. No matter how mysterious he is, he's still just a little brat."

Seeing Minato's open-minded smile, Kushina also revealed a stunning smile, leaving Minato staring at her in a daze.
