After repelling the Team Magma attack led by Tabitha, Gary reunited with the arriving Rosa, Hilda, Ash, and the others, then returned together to the hotel where he was staying.
At the hotel, Gary contacted Steven Stone alone through the contact information they had exchanged earlier and recounted the Team Magma attack on Sea Mauville in full.
"So something like this happened!" After hearing Gary's account from beginning to end, Steven Stone's brow suddenly furrowed. "Team Magma has been appearing so frequently lately. There must be some major plot behind them."
"I think it's probably related to Groudon," Gary promptly voiced his opinion.
"The League has actually known for some time that Team Magma has been searching for traces of Groudon. I imagine this time is no different."
Based on what Gary had told him, Steven Stone began analyzing the situation. "They probably wanted to use the Scorched Slab in your possession to find more clues related to Groudon."
"That's very likely."
It had to be said that Steven Stone had hit the mark this time. Team Magma truly was trying to find traces of Groudon.
Although Gary understood this perfectly well, he had no clues or evidence, so he could only go along with Steven Stone.
"I understand what happened. I'll notify the League to keep an eye on Team Magma's movements."
Since Steven Stone had already guessed Team Magma's ultimate goal, he could not simply stand by and watch. He prepared to notify the League to deal with Team Magma.
"Then how should this Scorched Slab be handled?"
Seeing that the League was preparing to step in, Gary did not pursue the matter any further. He had already done everything he could.
