"Everyone, let's do our best in today's race!"

The next morning, in the contestants' rest area at the center of the village, Serena cheered on Gary, Rosa, and Hilda.

"Of course. This time, the championship will belong to me and my partner!" Rosa said confidently, patting the Rhyhorn beside her.

The Rhyhorn at her side let out a cry as well, echoing Rosa's declaration.

"Don't underestimate us. My partner and I won't lose either." Seeing Rosa act as though she had already won, Hilda's competitive spirit was stirred.

"Then let's settle this in a contest!" Rosa challenged Hilda.

"It's a deal!" Hilda readily agreed.

"Hehe, they really get along well." Serena watched the friendly scene before her with a hint of envy.

"You can do that too, Serena!" Gary said with a soft laugh after hearing her murmur.

"Huh?" Serena immediately looked embarrassed at Gary's words, then raised her head to look at him.

At that moment, Gary was crouching in front of his Rhyhorn, soothing it.

"Rhyhorn, I'm counting on you in today's race!" Gary used his ability to strengthen their bond as he comforted it.

Perhaps sensing Gary's warmth, the Rhyhorn obediently nudged his hand to show its affection.

Gary immediately smiled at the sight.

Serena, standing nearby, was momentarily captivated by how gentle Gary looked.

Then Gary's handsome face and gentle voice surfaced in her mind, making Serena's cheeks flush a deep red.

"Gary really is charming," Rosa said helplessly, rubbing her forehead after she and Hilda noticed Serena's distracted expression.

"Besides, Serena is an exceptionally gentle and wonderful woman." After spending the past few days together, Hilda thought very highly of Serena.
