Chapter Summaries

Hunter J failed to capture Megumi’s Gardevoir and escaped from Gary aboard a Flying Device after Arcanine overpowered her Salamence. Gary reunited with Rosa, Hilda, and Megumi, while Officer Jenny pursued Hunter J and the police arrested her defeated grunts.

• Hunter J attacked Gary’s Arcanine with her Petrification Device, but Arcanine’s Flamethrower shattered the beam and Salamence blocked the flames with Dragon Pulse.
• Gary’s Arcanine overpowered Salamence’s Dragon Pulse, but Salamence used Protect to survive and then launched Draco Meteor.

• The Mysterious Blue-Haired Man called Hunter J, mocked her failed operation, and offered her a highly paid mission to discuss in person.
• Megumi decided to leave her home with Gardevoir because Hunter J might return, and Rosa invited her to travel with them to Floaroma Town.
