Ch. 141Visitor from the Sky 6

Yuko explained that Deoxys had trapped LaRousse City and disabled its systems, and Gary suspected it had come because of the meteorite she and Dr. Lund had studied. After gathering food and locating the captured people, the group slept in the laboratory, where a strange noise woke them the next morning.

  • Yuko led Gary, Ash, and the others to Dr. Lund's laboratory and explained that Deoxys had sealed LaRousse City off and shut down its systems.
  • Yuko said Deoxys had originated from a North Pole meteorite and that she and Dr. Lund had studied a related meteorite, prompting Gary to suspect it had drawn Deoxys to the city.
  • Plusle, Minun, and Munchlax came through a ventilation shaft, and the group postponed investigating the meteorite to find food.
  • Gary, Ash, Brock, and Shota carried a food vending machine back to the laboratory, while Arlon, Shota, and Hitomi found where Deoxys was holding people.
  • The group ate, made beds on the laboratory floor, and went to sleep; a strange noise woke them the next morning.

Ch. 142Visitor from the Sky 7

Gary and the others escaped Deoxys's clones and reached the underground research institute, where Yuko revealed that the Crystal Body contained a second Deoxys. After Gary explained how the two Deoxys and Rayquaza came to LaRousse City, the group agreed they needed to revive the Crystal Body Deoxys, but the institute's backup power could not do it.

  • Gary led the group to the underground research institute while Deoxys's clones searched the area they had left behind.
  • Yuko explained that one Deoxys had been preserved inside a meteorite, and Gary sensed its life force in the Crystal Body.
  • A green Energy Body emerged from the Crystal Body, and Gary identified it as Deoxys communicating with its companion.
  • Gary explained that Rayquaza had attacked the two extraterrestrial Deoxys and that the Purple Core Deoxys had come to LaRousse City searching for its companion.
  • Yuko explained that the Purple Core Deoxys had captured people and Pokémon because their Thunder Waves obstructed its vision, and Gary proposed reviving the other Deoxys to end the crisis.
  • Yuko warned that the backup power supply could not revive Deoxys, and Hitomi and Arlon both said they had a way.

Ch. 143Visitor from the Sky 8

Gary, Ash, and their allies split up to rescue LaRousse City’s trapped residents and power the equipment needed to revive the Green Core Deoxys. After it revived, the Green Core Deoxys carried Gary, Ash, Shota, and their Pokémon toward the city outskirts, where its Purple Core companion was battling Rayquaza.

  • Hitomi and Arlon proposed rescuing the trapped people and Pokémon while using Wind Power Generation to supply energy for Deoxys’s revival.
  • Gary’s group encountered the Purple Core Deoxys, and Gary stayed behind with Arcanine so Ash, Arlon, Hitomi, and Shota could continue the rescue.
  • Rayquaza broke through the Purple Core Deoxys’s barrier, and the two Legendary Pokémon began fighting across LaRousse City.
  • Gary returned to the research institute and learned that the rescued people and Pokémon had gone to the Wind Power Station to help provide electricity.
  • Yuko used the available power to revive the Green Core Deoxys, which then carried Gary, Ash, Shota, and their Pokémon through the roof and toward the outskirts of the city.

Ch. 144Visitor from the Sky Concludes

Gary, Ash, and Shota persuaded Green Core Deoxys and Rayquaza to stop their destructive battle in LaRousse City. The Deoxys returned to their home world, and Rayquaza gave Gary its Dragon Scale before the group left, with Shota able to interact with Pokémon again.

  • Gary, Ash, and Shota asked Green Core Deoxys to stop Rayquaza and Purple Core Deoxys from destroying more of LaRousse City.
  • Green Core Deoxys blocked Purple Core Deoxys's Dark Pulse, and the blast buried it and Rayquaza beneath rubble before both emerged unharmed.
  • Gary used Viridian Power to calm Rayquaza and explained that Purple Core Deoxys had only been searching for its companion.
  • The two Deoxys returned to their homeland after bidding farewell to Shota.
  • Rayquaza thanked Gary, gave him a Dragon Scale that could summon its help, and flew away.
  • Gary, Ash, and the others left LaRousse City, and Shota was able to interact with Pokémon again.

  • Rosa marveled at Drake’s ship as Ryuko described its strength and Drake told him to inspect it before departure.
  • Drake invited Gary to battle while the ship was being inspected, and Gary accepted.
  • Ryuko returned and volunteered to referee the one-Pokémon match between Drake and Gary.
  • Drake sent out his level 45 Shelgon, and Gary chose Electivire as its opponent.
  • Gary ordered Thunderbolt and then Thunder Punch, but Shelgon dodged both attacks on Drake’s commands.
  • After Shelgon evaded another punch and moved beside Electivire, Gary began issuing his next command.

Ch. 147Battle with Drake

Gary defeated Drake’s Shelgon with Electivire in a battle aboard the ship, earning Drake’s praise and gratitude for his guidance. After the sailors confirmed the ship was unharmed, it set sail for Mossdeep City, while Gary left Rosa wondering which Elite Four member they might meet next.

  • Gary used Electivire’s Iron Tail and Thunderbolt to pressure Drake’s Shelgon, while Drake boosted Shelgon’s defense and countered with Dragon Pulse.
  • Gary’s Electivire used Quick Attack and Focus Punch to send Shelgon flying, then struck it with Wild Charge before it could use Iron Defense.
  • Referee Ryuko declared Shelgon unable to battle and named Gary the winner, after which Gary and Drake recalled their Pokémon.

Gary, Rosa, and Hilda arrived at Mossdeep Gym and met its Gym Leaders, twins Tate and Liza, before Gary began a Double Battle against them. The battle was still underway after Gary’s Pupitar and Lairon destroyed the artificial planets Tate and Liza had used to dodge.

  • Rosa asked the Gym’s blue-haired attendant about challenging the Gym, and she led the three Trainers to the battle arena.
  • Hilda learned that the attendant was Tate and Liza’s mother, and all three visitors introduced themselves as challengers.
  • Gary volunteered to battle first, and Tate and Liza sent out Solrock and Lunatone under the Gym’s no-switching Double Battle rules.
  • Gary sent out Pupitar and Lairon and ordered them to attack with Rock Throw and Rock Slide.
  • Solrock and Lunatone dodged among the artificial planets, but Pupitar and Lairon destroyed nearly all of them, angering Tate and Liza.

Ch. 150Twins Out of Sync

Gary battled Tate and Liza as their inability to coordinate caused their attacks to fail, while Gary and his Pokémon worked together to defeat their team. The battle ended with both Lunatone and Solrock unable to continue fighting.

  • Tate ordered Solrock to attack, but Gary's Pupitar blocked its Flamethrower and Lairon struck Solrock with Stone Edge.

  • Rosa noticed the weather turn from sunny to dark and rainy, and Gary said Kyogre must have awakened.
  • Archie used the Red Orb to command Kyogre, threatened to drown the world, and ignored Lance's warning that the orb was controlling him.
  • Lance explained to Maxie that ancient people had sealed the orbs because they could not safely control the Ancient Pokémon, but Maxie defended using their power.
  • Gary, Rosa, and Hilda arrived with Steven, who said he had called them to the island.

  • Lance and Steven Stone recognized Rayquaza when it arrived, and Gary asked it to stop Groudon and Kyogre’s renewed battle.
  • Rayquaza admitted it was too weak to face the two Tier 1 Deities, so Gary showed it the Dragon Ascent Scroll and Rayquaza agreed to fight.
  • Gary climbed onto Rayquaza and flew with it toward Groudon and Kyogre as Rosa, Hilda, Ash, Steven Stone, and the others wished him well.
