The truth behind this picture was that Uchiha Yū and Minato Namikaze had worked together, fighting back-to-back as they tore through the enemy's defenses. Yet now, all the credit had fallen upon Reiko. Even Uchiha Yū had been reduced to a backdrop, all to build up Hyuga Reiko as an extraordinarily powerful ninja.
"You're making me embarrassed."
A blush appeared on Hyuga Reiko's face. She was so embarrassed she could have dug herself a three-bedroom apartment with her toes. She could not understand why Uchiha Yū had printed so many untrue things in the newspaper, portraying her in such a glorious light.
"What's there to be embarrassed about? This newspaper is only the beginning. As for Minato Namikaze, I'll explain things to him. He won't fight over such minor credit."
Uchiha Yū lightly patted her shoulder, telling her not to fear what was coming next. There was something even more explosive waiting for Reiko.
Since they were in Konoha, they could not simply use their strength to force those old fossils into submission. They could only make use of public opinion. When Hyuga Reiko entered the election, they would loudly publicize it all, leaving the other side with no way to save face and forcing those old fossils to concede.
"From now on, you need to be prepared. I'll thoroughly shape your glorious achievements. Even if the things published in the newspaper weren't done by you, they'll become your accomplishments in the future."
Uchiha Yū had a bold plan. Since he had already grasped control of the newspaper's influence, he could take things a step further.
In the Hokage's office, Minato Namikaze had formally begun assisting with official duties. For now, he was only an aide. Much of the intelligence was merely shown to him for his suggestions. Hiruzen Sarutobi
