Uchiha Yū looked at Hiruzen Sarutobi standing on the rooftop. The street between them seemed like an invisible chasm, completely separating Uchiha Yū from him!
Tonight, anyone who stood in his way was his enemy!
Even former comrades-in-arms. They were not on the same path. They were practitioners of the Will of Fire, but Uchiha Yū did not acknowledge that Will of Fire.
"It is precisely because I know what I'm doing that tonight's operation is happening. Just as I said some time ago, I have not the slightest interest in Konoha's power. It is all your own self-righteous assumption."
His voice was cold and indifferent. A streak of bloody tears slowly ran down from Uchiha Yū's Sharingan as he gently extended both hands forward before the Third Hokage.
Uchiha Fugaku instantly appeared before him like a guard. Yet, facing the Third Hokage, there was no longer any humility or restraint in his eyes. His face bore a savage expression, his gaze filled with hatred, as he demanded on the spot:
"Third, the Uchiha Clan has come to this point because of your Hokage faction! If not for your schemes in the shadows and your constant targeting of us, how could we have been driven to rebel as one!"
"Do not forget that the Uchiha Clan contributed half the effort to Konoha's founding. Not only did we not receive the respect we deserved, but you guarded against us at every turn. The village our predecessors built was meant to let the Uchiha Clan live here peacefully, not to be penned up like prey!"
"The eyes of every ninja who died on the battlefield were gouged out and ultimately fell into Danzo's hands. Shouldn't the Third Hokage explain that?"
Uchiha Fugaku's voice echoed throughout Konoha.
