As the summoning technique vanished, a chill emerged from outside. It was a coffin made of ice, its sole purpose being to keep the corpse from decaying.
Inside the ice coffin lay a lifelike corpse, a fatal wound in her chest.
"Bastard! Why do you have Rin's corpse?!"
Obito interrupted the activation of Kamui. He would never allow anyone to desecrate Rin's corpse. Murderous intent filled his eyes. If the man before him had not been the first Akatsuki Shadow, he would have attacked without hesitation!
He had actually investigated in secret. While Kakashi had been carrying Rin's corpse back, he had been attacked by a group of mysterious people, causing the body to be lost. Clearly, those mysterious people had been Akatsuki!
"Why is it in my hands?"
Uchiha Yū set down the documents in his hands, his eyes assessing Obito, though his tone was firm and beyond question:
"Because I already knew who the young man Uchiha Madara had chosen was. I also knew that Uchiha Madara could not possibly fail. Do you want to know the truth?"
This entire conspiracy revolved around Uchiha Madara.
Obito froze on the spot upon hearing this. In his mind, Rin had been killed by Kakashi, so why did all of this lead back to Uchiha Madara?
"Do you really think Kakashi killed her?"
He stood and looked at Rin in the coffin, revealing a truth Obito would find difficult to accept:
"A man who claims to have inherited Uchiha Madara's will, yet he does not even know who killed Rin."
"The reason I made you wait for the Three-Tails' revival is because Rin was the Three-Tails' jinchūriki. The tailed beast inside her had been placed there by Uchiha Madara."
"At the time, the tailed beast inside Rin went berserk. You should
