"What do you mean it hasn't decayed?"
Hinata Reiko's words left the two of them completely baffled. Uchiha Yū had been dead for a long time—how could his body possibly have not decayed?
"It means exactly what it says..."
Hinata Reiko's tone was filled with confusion. Through her Byakugan, she could tell that the person truly was Uchiha Yū. There was no sign of forgery whatsoever; even his chakra energy was identical.
Back then, after Uchiha Yū had been dug out by Black and White Zetsu, he had already left. But later, he had White Zetsu put in another substitute, worried that some member of the Hyūga Branch Family might accidentally awaken their Byakugan and see his corpse. Then they would know he had faked his death to escape.
"Dig up the coffin and take a look."
At this point, words were useless!
Using an Earth Release ninjutsu, they watched a crack appear in the ground. Layers of soil churned outward, and the coffin emerged. It was still the coffin from the original burial, but once it was opened, everyone present froze.
"How can there be no change at all?!"
Nawaki's voice was full of shock. The man's hands rested over his chest, as though he were merely asleep. That was the most abnormal part!
"Can I leave now?"
Feeling someone touch him, White Zetsu woke from his sleep. As a plant-like being, he could draw chakra energy from the air to replenish his own consumption.
According to the original plan, as long as someone discovered the situation inside the coffin, White Zetsu could leave.

Nawaki grabbed White Zetsu by the throat, killing intent blazing in his eyes as he demanded word by word, "What the hell are you, impersonating Uchiha Yū here? And where is the real one?!"
