It was hard to imagine anyone daring to cross the bottom line set by the three lords, risking universal condemnation.

Usually, even if the three knew they were secretly collecting chakra, they would not punish them. Everyone had greed, after all. As long as it did not affect normal progress, they would turn a blind eye and let it pass without excessively pursuing responsibility.

Ōtsutsuki Shikū did not vent his anger on him or suspect him because of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's actions. Time could prove everything. Besides, the higher one's bloodline rank, the more dependent one was on that bloodline. Bound by layer upon layer of shackles, even the foremost among the nobles had to bow their proud heads before him.
