History
A initially rejects Iwagakure’s growing influence. Enraged by what he sees as its disrespect toward Kumogakure, he leads a force of three thousand against Uchiha Yoru. Yoru confronts the army alone and humiliates A by dismissing his speed and stopping his Lightning Oppression Horizontal Chop with one hand. By the ensuing negotiations, A’s right arm is in a cast, and Kumogakure pays compensation 83 84 85 88.
When Obito’s forces and the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path attack Kumogakure, A fights amid the destruction of his village. The statue’s chains bind him and drain his Lightning Release chakra, while White Zetsu clones restrain Killer B. Unable to hold out, Kumogakure appeals to Iwagakure for troops 162 163.
After Iwagakure’s victory over Akatsuki, an injured A kneels before Yoru and Ōnoki, formally accepting their leadership. His anger persists at subsequent meetings, but he cannot counter Iwagakure’s military demands.
