Background / History

Kakashi is assigned as the instructor of Team 7, composed of Naruto Uzumaki, Sasuke Uchiha, and Ringo. He arrives two hours late, claims to have “got lost on the road of life,” and introduces himself at the students’ seated height rather than talking down to them. He takes particular notice of Ringo’s vague but sincere answer during introductions and promises to verify the discrepancy in Ringo’s records during the next day’s exercise. 8

During the bell test, Kakashi overwhelms Naruto and Sasuke while keeping a hand ready for Ringo, correctly identifying the unseen Ringo as the decisive threat.
