As the Sources within him stirred faintly, Qin An's expression grew grave.
He strode over to the bodies and bent to examine them closely.
Several minutes passed before he raised his head and turned to Li Moyun.
"Two kinds of Source power linger on them: water and fire."
Surprise crossed Li Moyun's face. He went over to inspect the bodies himself before speaking.
"There are signs of drowning and burning, and both the water and fire carried astonishing power. Lord Qin, you possess the other three Sources, so you can sense power of the same origin. If you say these came from two Sources, that may well be true. But this smells like a plot."
The Silver Dao Marshal had said that the demon wielding the water and fire Sources wanted Qin An to come out. Clearly, it meant to deal with him.
Perhaps it was counting on those two Sources to leave Qin An without even a place to be buried.
Qin An frowned and looked toward a nearby Gold Circuit Marshal. "Any other news?"
The Gold Circuit Marshal's hair stood on end under Qin An's gaze.
People at his level had heard about Qin An's recent deeds. He wasted no words and answered with a nod.
"As far as I know, that demon force appeared out of nowhere. They're extremely strong. After slaughtering a Human Faction, they killed the Silver Dao Marshal we sent and left a letter on the bodies."
"The letter told Lord Qin to go alone to Little Granary Mountain, a thousand li away. If anyone accompanies you, or if we set an ambush, they'll keep slaughtering people."
Qin An rubbed his chin. "Little Granary Mountain... That is quite a distance."
Little Granary Mountain lay a thousand li north of the Skycloud Circuit—an enormous distance.
