He agreed without hesitation. Liu Feng knew the steward's words made a great deal of sense, and he knew where his own problem lay.
It was only three years. Spending that time to see what kind of person Qin An truly was, and whether he was worth following, would be well worth it.
Even if Qin An faded into the crowd in the end, it would not matter. Three years were no great loss to Liu Feng.
Most importantly, Liu Feng wanted to see whether Qin An could truly astonish everyone with one sudden cry, as the steward had said.
The steward smiled faintly at Liu Feng's answer. "Good. I'm glad you see it that way, Senior Liu. In that case, I can rest easy. The Zhou Household still has matters to attend to, so I'll take my leave."
As the Zhou Household's steward, he had a great deal to do and could not stay long. After speaking, he turned to Qin An.
"Mr. Qin, the matter has been settled, so I won't disturb you any longer. I wish you a smooth journey."
With the pleasantries said, the steward turned and left.
Soon, only Qin An and Liu Feng remained.
The atmosphere grew somewhat stifling.
Liu Feng was not talkative to begin with. Now, at an even greater loss for words, he could only remain silent.
Seeing this, Qin An smiled and broke the silence. "Senior Liu, I'll be counting on you from now on. Our safety is in your hands."
Liu Feng nodded. "I gave my word, so I'll see it through. Rest assured, Mr. Qin. It's getting late. You should go bring over the people from your world."
Qin An cupped his fists. "I'll be off, then."
With that, he turned and headed toward the city.
