After reaching Shrek City and meeting new allies and enemies, he began considering how to build his own faction and agreed to visit Shrek Academy.

• Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan encountered Tang Ya and Bei Bei in the forest, and Jiang Mu awakened the Causal Retribution System after Bei Bei developed killing intent toward him.
• Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan defeated an Iron Fist Gorilla, and Jiang Mu absorbed its five-thousand-year Soul Ring while the system redirected the strain to Bei Bei.
• Tang Ya joined Jiang Mu and Jiang Nannan on their journey, and Jiang Mu found a Soul Bone in the gorilla’s corpse and treated Tang Ya’s injured ankle.

Jiang Mu enrolled at Shrek Academy, drew Tang Ya into his plans, and began using his strange powers to manipulate Wang Dong’er, Zhou Yi, and Huo Yuhao. The arc left him challenging Zhou Yi’s training methods as the class began its first run.

• Jiang Nannan sent Jiang Mu to Shrek Academy with the Tang Sect’s recommendation slot, then returned home after giving him cultivation methods and Essence Blood for protection.
• Tang Ya rejected Bei Bei and joined Jiang Mu’s future sect after he warned her that the Tang Sect’s teachings were incomplete and promised to evolve her Blue Silver Grass.
• Jiang Mu refined Huo Yuhao’s Essence Blood while Mu En investigated the sudden weakness affecting Huo Yuhao and Bei Bei.
• Jiang Mu used his cause-and-effect regulator against Wang Dong’er, who became physically sensitive to his touch and agreed to examine him for seven days.

Jiang Mu clashed with Zhou Yi, pursued Tang Ya, and struggled through Wang Dong’er's jealousy as Shrek’s teachers mishandled a deadly attack. He rescued Wang Dong'er from Ma Xiaotao, uncovered Tang Wutong’s surviving soul, and began helping her while keeping her connected to his sight.

• Jiang Mu challenged Zhou Yi’s running regimen and refused to become her disciple, later confronting her over Huo Yuhao’s accusations and Shrek’s stories about defending its students.
• Jiang Mu grew closer to Xiao Xiao and Tang Ya while Wang Dong'er’s jealousy intensified, and Tang Ya told him she had rejected Bei Bei and planned to become his lover.
• Jiang Mu gave Tang Ya Blue Silver Emperor Essence Blood to test as a possible source of funds for her new sect.
• Zhang Lexuan asked Jiang Mu to give up Tang Ya and offered to be his girlfriend, but he angrily refused her proposal.

He secured their contracts, gained several powerful Soul Rings, and sent the Snow Empress to retrieve Ice Marrow and protect the women close to him.

• Yan Shaozhe recognized the Curse's symptoms in his bleeding finger, and Mu En said Shrek Academy could replenish his lost Essence Blood while they investigated.
• Jiang Mu told Jiang Nannan and Tang Ya that Wang Dong'er was a girl disguised as a boy and that they were together, upsetting Jiang Nannan and complicating their relationships.
