May 10, 2023–March 28, 2025. After nearly two years, I've finally finished this book. It's the third million-word novel I've completed as an author (one is over on another site, and one is locked away in the drawer o(╥﹏╥)o), and probably the one that took me the longest to write.
Actually, from the very beginning, I had high hopes for this book. I hoped I could write something better than my last one, and that it would do better, too. The traffic for its debut was pretty good, but things gradually went downhill.
The timing for starting the book didn't seem quite right. I began it just as I was about to graduate.
After failing the English exam in my first attempt at the postgraduate entrance exams, I resolutely decided to try again. Back then, I was more ambitious than the sky—I just wouldn't accept defeat (＃｀皿´).
But I never imagined that I'd fail the English exam a second time. That finally taught me my lesson ┗( 0﹏0 )┛.
Then I got myself a job.
Life threw me a challenge, and a series of events put this book through the wringer, too. Later on, I simply didn't have time to update, and it ended up becoming a weekly release. The longer it dragged on, the more awkwardly I wrote, and I nearly couldn't finish it.
Still, at least I managed to complete it and bring the story to a close.
