The scar-faced man stared at his body and swallowed.

As he spoke, he savagely tore off a chunk of flesh, stuffed it straight into his mouth without a care, and began to feast.
"Delicious!" the scar-faced man exclaimed once the flesh reached his stomach.

Li Shun's consciousness had not faded in the slightest. It was still attached to this body.
He could clearly feel every part of the process as pieces of his body were eaten and swallowed.
Yet though he remained conscious, he had no power to resist.
He could not even draw his consciousness back.
It was as though an unseen shackle between Heaven and Earth had bound him fast.
All Li Shun could do was watch helplessly as he was devoured down to the last scrap.
Though he was dead, the senses in every part of his body remained connected to his soul.
It was torture no ordinary person could endure.
