He immediately began discussing with Wu Zhibai in detail how they should enter the Mausoleum.
After some discussion, Wu Zhibai said, "Fellow Daoist, come back to my clan with me first. We can make further plans there."
Fang Shu nodded, then smiled and added, "Since we are entering the Mausoleum together, Sister Zhibai, we should also swear an oath and settle our agreement."
Wu Zhibai paused, then immediately understood that Fang Shu was worried he might fall into a trap after following her back to the Wu Family. She saw nothing wrong with his suggestion, however. On the contrary, it put her more at ease.
After all, she and Fang Shu had only met by chance, like duckweed drifting together on the water.
Though he seems friendly, there is no guarantee he will not harbor evil intentions once he sees something worth taking. Fortunately, as a True Immortal who attained golden core so young, he must aspire to refining spirit and attaining the Dao. His oath should be trustworthy.
Wu Zhibai weighed this in her mind.
The two then carefully settled their terms and each swore an oath.
If they obtained a cultivation method in the Mausoleum, they had to share it unless some special restriction prevented them. Any powerful treasures they found would be divided according to who reached them first.
If both wanted the same thing and could not come to an agreement, Fang Shu would have first choice once.
"Should I break this oath, may inner demons haunt me, and may I die a wretched death!"
With those words spoken, both smiled.
