Inside the command tent, the Devil Marquis smiled. "Everything is proceeding perfectly according to plan!"

For these Archdemons, nothing stabilized their realm faster than madly slaughtering other devils.

And with Charles covering their backs, whenever Devil Barons tried to make a move against them, Charles simply teleported them back.

But such advancement and accumulation of mid- and high-rank forces under his command came at a cost.

Of the dozens of small fortresses around Millstone Fortress, at least a third had already been lost.

And even more ordinary demons had died.

The results had practically been piled up with corpses.

If this drawn-out battle continued, Charles felt he definitely would not be able to hold out in the end.
