Within the cross-plane portal.
A winged drake passed through it.
After many years, Scorchflame returned to Isata once more.
After returning to Isata, his small body rapidly swelled, transforming into a winged giant serpent drake.
When Charles brought his students to the teleportation chamber, Scorchflame called out to him, "Boss!"
Charles patted Scorchflame's serpentine body and stroked his scales. "I'll leave the tower's defenses to you from here on."

Beside him, the students looked around at everything with curious, searching eyes.
Someone said, "It's been so long since I smelled air this pleasant."
"Compared to this place, Isata really isn't somewhere humans should live."
Another student sighed. "We'd heard long ago that our teacher had another plane."
