The devil marquis growled, "These demons can actually restrain their craving for the Blood War and refuse to come out and attack!"
"It seems this Abyssal Overlord is even stronger than we imagined. He is simply too powerful for the demon lords and greater demons beneath him, so those fools do not dare come out."
A devil count asked, "What do we do now?"
"We cannot delay any longer!"
"Otherwise, once they completely take this region away from Purgatory, all of us will suffer the punishment of Purgatory's will!"
The powerful will of the Abyss and the will of Purgatory possessed no conscious intelligence, but they could distinguish what benefited them from what harmed them.
For whatever benefited them, they would generously provide their power and open up the power of rules.
If the devils failed, then Purgatory's will would likewise make no attempt to hide its disgust or punishment.
