Delis cut a small piece off the demon hide, then bit her finger and used her slender nail to write on it.
After a while, the hide was covered in runes and magic circles.
Delis was so hungry that her vision blurred. She used magic to open a rift in space and tossed the demon-hide scroll straight into the void.

Delis recalled the taste of souls and flesh from other worlds, drooling.
Still hungry, Delis climbed back up and dug out a large chunk of stone to eat.
Just after she swallowed the stone and lay back down, her eyes suddenly flew open, and she sat bolt upright.
"I just sent it out, and I've already got a response?!"
"Thank you for the Abyss's gift. I'll be sure to enjoy it!"
Delis immediately got up and answered the summons.
This wasn't her first time being summoned. Most of the time, though, the callers were mortals, so she responded with practiced ease, sending a wisp of her consciousness over first.
"Mortal, I am the great Delis.
