Before returning to the academy residence, Pearl Duke suddenly asked Yue Yang if he was tired, for some reason, as though he had not yet had his fill of sightseeing. Unfortunately, Yue Yang yawned.

Pearl Duke was furious. She sulked all the way back to the academy residence and did not even bid Yue Yang farewell, heading straight back to her room to rest and even slamming the door shut. The principal watched with a smiling face. Just as Yue Yang was about to close his own door, he asked with concern, "What, did you quarrel? A man should have a broader heart. You should indulge Pearl Duke a little more!"
In front of the principal, Yue Yang naturally put on the air of a good student.
"Pearl Duke has a temper like an old friend of mine—it comes quickly and goes even faster. She'll be fine when she wakes up tomorrow, so don't worry." The principal kindly comforted Yue Yang.
"Really?" Yue Yang's skill at playing dumb was absolutely grandmaster-level.
"Children can't stay in the laboratory all day, studying cold, lifeless machinery. Go out and have fun again tomorrow!" The principal felt that his prized disciple was good in every way. His mind was clever to the point of seeming monstrous, his creative inspiration unmatched beneath heaven, and whether it was his inner character and temperament or his outward expressions and smiles, the more one looked, the more lovable he became. He was practically a perfect person—only somewhat muddled about certain matters. Perhaps he lacked understanding in certain areas, or perhaps all his thoughts were devoted to research, leaving him little time to think about the things of everyday life.
