"Summoning Codex!"

It was not Yue Yang summoning, but Bright-Eyed Thief.

A burst of golden light emerged from between Bright-Eyed Thief's fingers, swiftly forming a pale orange barrier that enveloped both Yue Yang and Bright-Eyed Thief. Unlike ordinary people, owners of a Summoning Codex automatically generated a highly defensive aura barrier during battle. Before all their summoned beasts were slain or the maximum duration expired, the barrier would not vanish due to external force. Even under a tremendous blow, it could strongly protect its owner's safety.

The maximum duration of a Bronze Codex barrier was ten minutes.

A Silver Codex lasted twice as long as a Bronze Codex.

What Bright-Eyed Thief had summoned was an entry-level Silver Codex, fully three minor ranks above Yue Yang's entry-level Bronze Codex.

In other words, over the next twenty minutes, as long as Bright-Eyed Thief's summoned beasts were not all killed, even a Rock Golem with overwhelmingly brutal attack power would be unable to break through this aura barrier, which could withstand the direct impact of a battering ram.

Though her chest was not especially prominent, more of the cute apple variety with plenty of room for development, her rear was very perky. Especially beneath the tight black outfit, its perfect curves and enticing fullness made Yue Yang gulp repeatedly.

He deeply regretted that his Eye of Insight talent was only Level One and could not see through clothes. Otherwise...

The moment Wu Yi saw Bright-Eyed Thief summon a colorful butterfly barely larger than a palm, his expression changed drastically again.

The captain of the guards no longer dared watch the battle. He immediately rushed inside.

If he did not quickly invite the master of Golden Saber Tower, the person in charge of White Stone City's Happy Forest, to take command, the consequences would be unimaginable. People from Butterfly Hundred-Flower Valley were absolutely not to be provoked!

"Summon War Eagle." Wu Yi panicked. He knew that if he did not quickly eliminate the enemy's Bewildering Butterfly, his Rock Golem would be useless.

Wu Yi took out a gleaming yellow crystal from his robes, muttered an incantation, and summoned a golden War Eagle with a wingspan of more than two meters.

War Eagles were the kings of the skies among avian battle beasts and excelled most at hunting flying beasts.

They were incredibly fast, like lightning.

Against a Bewildering Butterfly with no defensive power whatsoever, perhaps only a few seconds were needed before the Level Three War Eagle's sharp claws, capable of tearing apart tigers and leopards, could rip the tiny butterfly to shreds... However, after Wu Yi summoned the War Eagle, Bright-Eyed Thief gave a cold snort and immediately responded with another summon. "Summon Silk-Spinning Spider Woman!"

Green light flowed from between Bright-Eyed Thief's fingers. The Silver Codex flipped its pages on its own, and a surge of green radiance shot into the air.

A monster with the upper body of a human woman and the lower body of a spider flashed onto the battlefield.

"Ahh!" Many of the watching mercenaries scattered in panic.

"I'm going to faint! That's a monster from the Demon Abyss, a spider demon that drains men dry! The natural enemy of all men!" Some bolder mercenaries remained behind, but their faces had turned pale with fright.

"That definitely came back from the Heaven-Piercing Tower! I'd stake my life on it—that demon definitely came from the Heaven-Piercing Tower. It's over, that War Eagle is finished!" Among the honored guests on Happy Forest's balcony, a warrior recognized the origins of the half-woman, half-spider monster. Watching the War Eagle circle down from the sky, he shook his head and sighed. Wu Yi's face was filled with despair. He hurriedly tried to command the War Eagle to fly higher, but it was already too late!

A stream of white spider silk shot from the spider woman's mouth. It spread in the wind, forming a white web that engulfed the War Eagle.

Bound by the web and unable to fly, the War Eagle crashed heavily to the ground.

The spider woman leaped over with astonishing agility. As the War Eagle struggled, she struck swiftly, driving two terrifying spider fangs into its body and injecting dark green venom. Two seconds later, the struggling War Eagle began to stiffen, turning into a living corpse at the mercy of others.

Yue Yang grabbed Bright-Eyed Thief's little hand, taking advantage in secret, while outwardly cheering with extreme excitement. "You're amazing! We won!"

But Bright-Eyed Thief shook her head. "No, it's still too early to say we've won. He's a Level Three Hero. The War Eagle isn't his strongest battle beast. I think he's still holding back. He should be able to summon another powerful battle beast..."

"Evil Fire, come down and buy me some time!" Wu Yi roared, taking out a red crystal as large as a fist and beginning his third summoning.

A figure appeared at the entrance of Happy Forest like a ghost. His lecherous triangular eyes roamed boldly over Bright-Eyed Thief's body like venomous snakes as he let out a sinister chuckle.

"..." Yue Yang's expression remained calm, but fury erupted in his heart. What nerve. That bastard actually dared set his sights on the precious little virgin I reserved long ago? He must be tired of living!
