Golden Sun City had gained a batch of refugees, while Black Ridge City had gained a batch of guests.
These guests were rather strange.
They did not fit in with the rest.
At the front was a sharp-eyed scout bandit riding a long-legged lizard. In the middle of the procession, dozens of mercenaries escorted more than a dozen criminals bound in prison carts, their flesh flayed away by brutal torture, their teeth all fallen out, their bodies nearly reduced to skeletons, slowly into the city. At the very back was a massive sub-dragon, a Greatfoot Land Dragon. It strode slowly along a road carpeted with white bones, carrying an incomparably luxurious golden throne on its back.
Upon that golden throne sat two silver-armored warriors dressed almost identically, along with a female slave and a girl holding a baby.

There were only two warriors, along with a lowly female slave and a girl who looked like a starving refugee. Even though they sat at the feet of the two silver-armored warriors, seated high upon that incomparably luxurious golden throne and looking down upon their surroundings, the terror and unease in their eyes could still be seen clearly. Anyone with even a little discernment could tell at a glance that they were absolutely not descendants of nobility. On the contrary, they should have been commoners—starving commoners among commoners!
What right did commoners have to sit upon
