A month slipped by amid tense missions. The endless drizzle in the Land of Rain still fell in fine, threadlike strands, as if it would never cease.
Over that month, Rogge's ANBU Squad Seven had endured countless hardships, repeatedly venturing deep behind enemy lines to complete reconnaissance and assassination missions.
Now, exhausted yet full of anticipation, they prepared to begin their journey home and return to the Konoha camp for some rest.
The squad members were both excited and nervous—excited to return to familiar territory, nervous because unknown dangers could strike at any moment in the unfamiliar Land of Rain.
As captain, Moonlight Raimei remained highly vigilant. He walked at the front of the group, gripping a sword crackling with Lightning Release power as his sharp gaze swept over their surroundings.
Yamanaka Yuki and Rogge followed close behind, while Kakashi Sasaki covered the rear.
Seeing himself protected in the middle, Rogge felt a wave of helplessness.
Ugh, I clearly have strength too, yet they always protect me like I'm some rookie. It's both funny and frustrating. He frowned slightly as he grumbled to himself.
Yamanaka Yuki glanced at Rogge, a teasing glint flashing through her eyes.
"Handsome boy, don't look so unhappy. Isn't it nice having your big sister protect you?" Her lips curled as she teased him.
Rogge rolled his eyes at her. "Hmph, I don't need protection."
As they gradually drew closer to the direction of the Konoha camp, the squad members slowly relaxed their guard.
When the squad reached a valley, the atmosphere around them suddenly became extraordinarily strange.
Countless dangers seemed to lurk within the once-quiet curtain of rain.
Rogge immediately sensed that something was wrong and shouted, "Everyone, be careful! It's an ambush!"
But before his words had even faded, seven Hidden Stone ninja surged out from all directions.
Like ghosts, they instantly surrounded Squad Seven so completely that not even water could pass through.
One Hidden Stone ninja sneered. "Hahaha, Konoha ants, today is the day you die."
Another Hidden Stone ninja mocked, "Did you really think you could leave the Land of Rain so easily? How naive."
The squad members were instantly plunged into extreme danger.
Without hesitation, Kakashi Sasaki charged forward, attempting to counterattack.
He swung his chakra short sword, Wind Release howling around him.
"Damn Hidden Stone ninja, I'll make you pay!" Kakashi Sasaki roared.
However, the Hidden Stone ninja had clearly prepared for this. They quickly set up a massive trap.
Kakashi Sasaki made one careless mistake and fell into it.
Inside the trap was a Swamp Slaughter Formation jointly cast by several people.
Kakashi Sasaki instantly sank into the mud. He struggled desperately, trying to break free from his predicament.
"Damn it!" Kakashi Sasaki gritted his teeth, his face filled with fury and unwillingness.
Seeing this, Moonlight Raimei and Yamanaka Yuki immediately tried to rescue Kakashi Sasaki.
"Let me through!" Moonlight Raimei shouted anxiously, trying to break through the enemy's line.
Yamanaka Yuki cried, "Captain, don't be reckless! It's too dangerous to go over now."
Moonlight Raimei was frantic as well. He continuously swung his sword, trying to carve open a path to rescue Kakashi Sasaki.
However, it was already too late.
Within the Swamp Slaughter Formation cast by several people, Kakashi Sasaki gradually lost his strength.
His eyes were full of unwillingness, but in the end, he could only close them helplessly.
His body slowly sank into the swamp as the liquid within began to dissolve his flesh and blood. The scene was utterly gruesome.
One Hidden Stone ninja burst into laughter. "Look, this is the fate of Konoha ninja."
Another Hidden Stone ninja said disdainfully, "An overconfident fool."
The squad's retreat plan was blocked, and they found themselves trapped within the Hidden Stone ninja's layered encirclement.
Moonlight Raimei clenched his teeth. He knew this was not the time for grief.
He had to calm down and lead the squad members out of the encirclement.
He quickly analyzed the situation, searching for an opportunity to break through.
But his heart was filled with despair. Facing seven jonin from the Hidden Stone Village, he did not know whether he could lead his teammates to safety.
As he looked at the Hidden Stone ninja around them, a sense of powerlessness rose within him.
Tears streamed continuously down Yamanaka Yuki's face, but she forcefully held back her grief.
Her heart was equally filled with despair. She did not know how to face all this.
She stared at the place where Kakashi Sasaki had vanished, her heart full of regret and pain.
She hated herself for lacking the ability to protect her teammate, hated her own helplessness.
But she also knew that now was not the time for grief. She had to pull herself together and join the captain in leading Rogge out.
The Hidden Stone ninja pressed closer step by step, continuously tightening their encirclement.
They seemed determined to wipe out Squad Seven in one stroke.
Moonlight Raimei knew they could not hesitate any longer.
He shouted, "Everyone, stay close to me! We're breaking out together!"
With that, he swung his sword. Lightning Release flashed like a bolt of lightning as he charged at the Hidden Stone ninja.
The rain continued to patter down, as though playing a mournful melody for this brutal battle.
Although Moonlight Raimei and Yamanaka Yuki did their utmost to protect Rogge, they were soon severely wounded beneath the Hidden Stone ninja's fierce assault.
The glow on Moonlight Raimei's Lightning Release sword had dimmed, and blood flowed ceaselessly from wounds all over his body. Yamanaka Yuki's face was pale as well, and using her mental secret techniques had nearly drained her chakra dry.
Rogge looked at his injured teammates, who had been hurt while protecting him, and his gaze grew increasingly cold.
He knew he could no longer hide his strength.
In an instant, a powerful aura erupted from Rogge's body like a volcano on the verge of eruption.
He looked coldly at the Hidden Stone ninja around him, without the slightest trace of mercy in his heart, and casually hurled a series of kunai in rapid succession.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
The kunai tore through the air toward the seven Hidden Stone ninja closing in around them.
Of course, thrown weapons like these could not possibly hit anyone.
The Hidden Stone ninja flashed aside and dodged them.
But do not forget—the handles of those kunai bore Rogge's Flying Thunder God Technique marks!
Rogge's body shifted slightly, and he instantly vanished from where he stood.
The next moment, he appeared behind a Hidden Stone ninja.
Before that ninja could react, Rogge sent him flying with a punch. His body slammed heavily into the mountainside, leaving behind a deep crater.
Rogge showed no mercy in his attacks. Every move carried lethal power as the Monstrous Strength Ninjutsu Tsunade had taught him unleashed devastating force.
His movements were crisp and decisive, without the slightest hesitation.
Like a phantom, he darted between the Hidden Stone ninja. Every time he appeared, another Hidden Stone ninja was sent flying.
At first, the seven jonin from the Hidden Stone Village had looked down on Rogge, believing him to be nothing more than a protected rookie.
But as Rogge displayed his overwhelming might, their expressions gradually shifted from disdain to terror.
"How is this possible? How can he be this strong?" one Hidden Stone jonin said in horror.
"Quick, attack together! We can't let him keep this up!" another Hidden Stone jonin shouted.
However, their attacks seemed utterly powerless before Rogge.
Rogge easily evaded their attacks, then made them pay a terrible price with even fiercer counterattacks.
Rogge used the Flying Thunder God Technique. His figure instantly vanished, and when he reappeared, he was already behind another Hidden Stone ninja.
His fist carried the immense force of Monstrous Strength Ninjutsu. With a single punch, the Hidden Stone ninja had no time to dodge before his head was directly blown apart.
Blood and chunks of flesh splattered through the rain. The scene was extremely bloody.
There was no expression on Rogge's face, only cold indifference.
In his eyes, these Hidden Stone ninja were enemies. They had to be eliminated.
Seeing Rogge's terrifying strength, the other Hidden Stone ninja were consumed by fear.
They began retreating one after another, trying to escape this dreadful enemy.
But Rogge would not give them the chance.
He used the Flying Thunder God Technique again and instantly appeared before a fleeing Hidden Stone ninja.
Without hesitation, he kicked out, shattering that ninja's body to pieces.
"Run! This guy is a monster!"
A Hidden Stone ninja screamed in terror.
However, there was nowhere left for them to run.
Rogge was too fast. He continuously used the Flying Thunder God Technique, weaving between the Hidden Stone ninja and blowing them apart one punch at a time.
Moonlight Raimei and Yamanaka Yuki were utterly shocked by Rogge's overwhelming strength.
They had never imagined that the rookie they had always protected possessed such terrifying power.
Moonlight Raimei's eyes widened as he stared at Rogge's figure, his heart filled with shock.
"Rogge is this strong?"
Yamanaka Yuki was stunned as well. Looking at Rogge's cool figure, a sense of admiration welled up within her.
"Rogge is ridiculously handsome!"
Rogge ignored their shock and continued his slaughter.
As the final Hidden Stone ninja fell, the battlefield sank into dead silence.
Rogge stood amid a pool of blood, the oppressive force of his Conqueror's Haki making him radiate a chilling aura.
He glanced at Moonlight Raimei and Yamanaka Yuki, then said flatly, "Let's go. We shouldn't stay here long."
