Epimetheus was drawn by the cries and hurried outside. The sight of Pandora startled him. He had clearly been keeping an eye on Pandora the entire time, yet she had still been bullied right under his nose.
Epimetheus hurriedly asked what had happened. It turned out theft was still rampant. Pandora was too beautiful and had caught someone's eye. She carried an exquisite gift box that had been mistaken for some extremely valuable treasure, so it had been stolen.
"What kind of box was it?" Epimetheus quickly asked. "Was it important?"
"Very important!" Pandora cried. "More important than my life!"
A Wager
"Prometheus, are you challenging the authority of the gods?"
On sacred Mount Olympus, within a magnificent divine hall, Zeus sat upon his lofty throne, looking down at Prometheus with a solemn, grave expression.
"Your Majesty, God King, you are overthinking it. I have no intention of offending the gods. I simply believe that my creations are unworthy of the gods' gifts."
Prometheus remained calm. He knew Zeus would not do anything to him. Though he did not wish to trouble Theron, as Theron's subordinate god, Zeus could not possibly kill him. That had already been proven.
Just as he had initially guessed, Zeus could only seek an opportunity to hold him back. So now came the stage of verbal sparring.
Now it depended on whether his brother, Epimetheus, the god of hindsight, could remain sufficiently vigilant during the time he was trapped here.
"Prometheus, as Theron's subordinate god, you must know that the first wager in the world was invented by Lord Theron. Since that is so, why don't we make a bet?"
Zeus, having gained the divinity of wisdom, had improved enormously compared to before. When power was restrained by wisdom, it was weakened, but also strengthened.
