One Year After Completion, a Few Small Updates for My Esteemed Readers

The days of writing My Senior Brother Is Too Prudent seemed as though they were still right before my eyes. Every day, I scratched my head raw over the plot, thinking before sleep, typing after waking, forgetting food and sleep.

When I wrote, I kept standees of Yunxiao and Ling'e in front of my computer. Sometimes, seeing them would leave me dazed for a while.

That female immortal in white, that little steam girl... Then I thought of that peach grove, of those grass huts by the lake.

"Senior Brother updated too quickly back then. If it had been stretched over a two-year release schedule, it probably would have become even more popular, right?" Sometimes I could not help thinking that, but I soon laughed it off.

Senior Brother's "ten thousand words a day on average" update pace was also meant to preserve the story's pacing and reading experience. If it had slowed down, it would have lost that flavor.

My Senior Brother Is Too Prudent had a tremendous impact on my life. It gave me a bit of a name in the circle, brought me a great deal of royalties, and allowed me to focus wholeheartedly on creating without worrying about making a living.

And I gained a huge number of readers as well. That was the greatest reward a creator could receive.

As for my current writing direction, one path is to continue planting my roots in mythology, while the other is to carve out a new track in science fiction and write some short stories for practice.

I could not tell everyone before, because the new book's plot needed to bury some suspense. Now I can finally explain it.
