Qi Yuan brought Ling'e, then a delicate girl of roughly eight or nine, from a Great Thousand World to the Du Xian Sect and accepted her as a disciple of Lesser Qiong Peak. Intelligent, polite, and naturally talented, she eagerly anticipated cultivation and meeting her previously unknown senior brother, Li Changshou. Her first sight of Changshou—emerging from the lake—overwhelmed her enough to make her faint. 1 2
