Ch. 1Martial Soul: Evil Fire Phoenix, Starting with Four out of Seven

Ye Feng endured a deadly Evil Fire Backlash while Flender and Ma Hongjun pressured him to accept Flender as his master. As his life began to fade, a Gold Trait System appeared and offered him seven traits to choose from.

  • Ye Feng suffered increasingly frequent Evil Fire Backlashes from his pure Evil Fire Phoenix Martial Soul and feared that gaining a Soul Ring would kill him.
  • Flender and Ma Hongjun urged Ye Feng to become Flender’s disciple, but Ye Feng refused and condemned them for the coercion that had kept his talent hidden.
  • Flender left Ye Feng to die and raised a Soul Power barrier around the hut, while Ma Hongjun supported his decision.
  • Ye Feng cursed Flender and Ma Hongjun as the evil fire consumed his strength and life force.
  • The Gold Trait System activated and presented Ye Feng with seven gold trait options, from which he was told to choose four.

Ch. 2Only After Enduring It Could One Be Reborn as a Phoenix!

Ye Feng chose four system traits, and their distribution triggered a painful evolution of his Evil Fire Phoenix. With help from a mysterious woman, he survived and awakened as a Nether Karma Fire Phoenix, leaving him stronger and physically older.

  • Ye Feng rejected three system traits and selected Newbie Journey, Atavism, Twin Awakening, and Upgrade Refund.
  • The system raised Ye Feng's Soul Power to Level 12, then scarlet-gold flames engulfed him and subjected him to excruciating pain.
  • A mysterious woman entered the hut, broke Flender's barrier, and used an azure streak of light to ease Ye Feng's suffering.
  • After enduring the flames for three hours, Ye Feng awakened his ancient bloodline as a Nether Karma Fire Phoenix and received the system traits' rewards.
  • Ye Feng summoned his evolved phoenix, discovered he had grown older, and admired his new appearance in the water vat.

Ch. 3The Guardian Wasn't Human?

Ye Feng discovered that the Snow Empress had become his guardian and agreed to protect him in exchange for the possibility of becoming a god. He set off toward the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest to obtain a Soul Ring.

  • After five days of cultivation, Ye Feng found that his Soul Power remained at level twelve because he had not obtained a Soul Ring.
  • When Ye Feng called for his guardian, the Snow Empress appeared amid falling snow and confirmed she would protect him.
  • The Snow Empress explained that a mysterious power had brought her to Ye Feng and told her he could be her hope of becoming a god.
  • Ye Feng warned that people might discover she was a Soul Beast, and the Snow Empress said she could conceal her aura from even Titled Douluo.
  • Ye Feng shook hands with the Snow Empress, joked that her cold touch made her like an air conditioner, and then set out toward the Star Dou Great Forest.

Ch. 4Blazing Green Oriole!

Ye Feng hunted a thousand-year Blazing Green Oriole in the Star Dou Great Forest and drew its purple Soul Ring into himself. As scorching energy flooded his body, he began the process of absorbing it.

  • Ye Feng traveled to the Star Dou Great Forest, where he killed several unsuitable Soul Beasts while searching for a fire-attribute target.
  • Snow Empress told Ye Feng that a thousand-year Blazing Green Oriole was five kilometers to the northeast and guided him past other dangerous Soul Beasts.
  • Ye Feng hurled a lard-coated pebble covered in Ultimate Fire, predicting that the bird would dodge upward and fly into its path.
  • The flames killed the Blazing Green Oriole, and a deep purple Soul Ring formed above its corpse.
  • Ye Feng collected the bird's valuable tail feathers, then drew the purple Soul Ring into himself and felt scorching energy flood his body.

Ch. 5Holy Soul Village

Ye Feng tested the thousand-year Soul Ring he had gained, reaching level fifteen and discovering that his Hellfire Meteor could track targets and burn through them. After traveling for three days, he brought Snow Empress to Holy Soul Village to investigate a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast near its back mountain.

  • Ye Feng rose to level fifteen and tested Hellfire Meteor, whose tracking flames scorched trees and could threaten an ordinary Soul Elder.
  • Ye Feng caught four green-scaled fish by a stream and shared them with Snow Empress, who ate all four despite initially refusing food.
  • Ye Feng asked Snow Empress about Bing'er and suggested Bing'er might leave the Far North to search for her if she learned Snow Empress was gone.
  • Three days later, Ye Feng arrived at Holy Soul Village with Snow Empress and a red-haired youth, saying a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast was near the back mountain.
  • Ye Feng explained that Tang San had likely just entered Nuoding Academy and that Tang Hao would be nearby, giving him a chance to take the Blue Silver Emperor and the Hundred Thousand Year Soul Bone.

Ye Feng and the Snow Empress found the weakened Blue Silver Emperor imprisoned in a hidden cave, and she agreed to leave with them. After taking the Blue Silver Emperor’s right leg bone and choosing to return it to her, Ye Feng prepared to take her to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well; meanwhile, Tang San began absorbing a Soul Ring under Yu Xiaogang’s supervision.

  • The Snow Empress sensed concealed Soul Power near Holy Soul Village and brought Ye Feng to a cave behind a waterfall.
  • Ye Feng and the Snow Empress found the Blue Silver Emperor suppressed by a barrier, and the Snow Empress learned of its suffering.
  • The Blue Silver Emperor agreed to leave with the Snow Empress, who planned to preserve it and take it to the Far North.
  • Ye Feng proposed nurturing the Blue Silver Emperor at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, then retrieved its 100,000-Year Blue Silver Emperor Right Leg Bone and gave it back to the Snow Empress.
  • At Soul Hunting Forest, Tang San began merging with a dark-yellow Soul Ring while Yu Xiaogang watched anxiously.

Ch. 8The Immortal Herb Exchange Code Again (Please Follow and Bookmark)

Ye Feng absorbed the Infernal Delicate Apricot, the Octagonal Mysterious Ice Grass, and the Ice-Fire Spring Eye’s power, forging an Ice and Fire Golden Body and raising his Soul Power to level twenty. He revealed that Dugu Bo and his granddaughter were suffering from Green Phosphor Snake Poison and offered a method to cure them, leaving Dugu Bo ready to pledge his life in return.

  • Ye Feng ignored Dugu Bo’s warnings, swallowed both Immortal Herbs, and leaped into the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.
  • After a day and a night, Ye Feng emerged with an Ice and Fire Golden Body and Soul Power at level twenty.
  • Dugu Bo marveled at Ye Feng’s transformation, while Ye Feng promised to reward him for using his precious land.
  • Ye Feng identified Dugu Bo’s Green Phosphor Snake Poison and warned that it could kill him within three to five years.
  • Ye Feng revealed that Dugu Bo’s granddaughter also suffered from the poison, prompting Dugu Bo to pledge his life if Ye Feng cured them.
  • Ye Feng explained that Dugu Bo could use a Soul Bone and the Ice-Fire Spring Eye to transfer and suppress the toxins.

Ch. 9Whale Rubber Body Tempering

Ye Feng explained how Dugu Bo could use a compatible Soul Bone to remove the poison in his body, then tempered Whale Rubber to demonstrate how it strengthened his physique. The chapter left Dugu Bo searching Sunset Forest for a five-thousand-year fire-attribute Soul Beast while Ye Feng checked on Ah Yin’s recovery.

  • Ye Feng warned Dugu Bo that detoxification required a suitable Soul Bone and would cause extreme pain, and Dugu Bo pledged his life to Ye Feng.
  • Ye Feng asked Dugu Bo for Whale Rubber and help finding a roughly five-thousand-year fire-attribute Soul Beast in Sunset Forest.
  • Ye Feng tempered Whale Rubber with crimson-gold flames, ate a piece, and showed Dugu Bo how it strengthened his bloodline and physique.
  • Ye Feng gave Dugu Bo a piece of tempered Whale Rubber for his granddaughter, and Dugu Bo left to search for a suitable Soul Beast.
  • Snow Empress told Ye Feng that the Blue Silver Emperor could regain its spiritual intelligence within half a year and might cultivate a human form within three years.

Ch. 10Snow Empress's Expectations

Ye Feng searched the herb garden and gave Snow Empress two Immortal Herbs and several spirit herbs for her and Bing'er. As he began cultivating with the remaining Whale Rubber, Snow Empress watched him with growing curiosity and resolved to see how far he would go.

  • Ye Feng found an icy-blue lingzhi that nourished Snow Empress's spiritual consciousness and stabilized her foundation.
  • Ye Feng gathered a scorpion-shaped Immortal Herb that Snow Empress said would suit Bing'er, then added several high-grade spirit herbs for them.
  • Snow Empress accepted the herbs and stored them using a spatial power she said came naturally to Three-Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beasts.
  • Ye Feng swallowed the remaining Whale Rubber to improve his physique while he waited for Dugu Bo to find a Soul Beast for his Second Soul Ring.
  • Snow Empress reflected on Ye Feng's generosity and lack of greed, then decided to see how far the human she had chosen could go.

Ch. 11Nirvana

Ye Feng absorbed a five-thousand-year Crimson Flame Golden Eagle Soul Ring, but the Karma Fire within him erupted during the final stage. He endured the flames in a painful rebirth and emerged with stronger, dark-gold-infused fire.

  • Dugu Bo brought Ye Feng a weakened Crimson Flame Golden Eagle, which Snow Empress confirmed carried a trace of ancient Golden Crow blood.
  • Ye Feng absorbed the eagle's Soul Ring and rose from level twenty-one to level twenty-three as his Soul Power increased.
  • Ye Feng's Karma Fire suddenly flared out of control, and Snow Empress stopped Dugu Bo from intervening.
  • Ye Feng chose to guide the flames through his body, enduring the burning as Snow Empress called the ordeal Nirvana.
  • After fifteen minutes, the flames subsided, leaving Ye Feng with renewed skin, a clearer phoenix mark, and crimson-gold fire streaked with dark gold.

Ch. 12First Martial Soul Possession

After Karma Fire threatened to backlash more dangerously as Ye Feng grew stronger, he discovered that suppressing it required an Ultimate Ice wielder of comparable strength and considered Shui Bing'er as a possible match. He then manifested his Nether Karma Fire Phoenix and successfully used Martial Soul Possession, gaining a dramatic boost in power and fiery wings.

  • Snow Empress warned Ye Feng that Karma Fire would intensify with his strength and could be controlled only through mastery or suppression by comparable Ultimate Ice.
  • Ye Feng realized that Shui Bing'er’s Ice Phoenix might help counter his Karma Fire, while Snow Empress said she might be able to suppress it after he reached Soul Sage.
  • Ye Feng summoned his Nether Karma Fire Phoenix, whose dark-gold flames and imposing phantom startled Dugu Bo and stirred reverence in his Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor.
  • Ye Feng merged with his Martial Soul, growing taller and gaining nearly double his strength, speed, and spiritual power.
  • Ye Feng formed a pair of crimson-gold Phoenix Wings and spread them behind him.

Ch. 13Snowy Swan Kiss

Ye Feng tested his Phoenix Wings Soaring skill and collected Immortal Herbs from the Medicine Garden. After explaining the Snowy Swan Kiss's ability to magnify poison, he gave it to Dugu Bo, who resolved to make use of it.

  • Ye Feng flew through the Poison Barrier and tested Phoenix Wings Soaring, blasting two deep, burning craters into the ground.
  • Dugu Bo learned Ye Feng was not yet seven and already a level twenty-four Soul Grandmaster, then gave him the Ruyi Hundred Treasure Pouch.
  • Ye Feng stored several Immortal Herbs he needed in the pouch and left the others in the garden.
  • Ye Feng corrected Dugu Bo's name for the Snowy Swan Kiss and explained that it amplified nearby poisons, making the surrounding herbs toxic.
  • Ye Feng dug up the Snowy Swan Kiss and gave it to Dugu Bo, who accepted it and vowed to use it well.

Ch. 14Far North

The Ice Empress returned to the Far North and found the Snow Empress missing, then took her throne while wondering where she had gone. Two months later, Dugu Bo cured his poisoning with Ye Feng’s guidance and departed to find a Soul Bone for his granddaughter, while Ye Feng left the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well and arrived at Skywater Academy.

  • The Ice Empress returned to the palace, found the Snow Empress absent, and sat on her throne while speculating that she had gone to the human world.
  • Over the next two months, Ye Feng refined his Soul Power and reached level twenty-five as Dugu Bo used a skull bone to remove the toxins from his body.
  • Dugu Bo thanked Ye Feng and asked to leave to find a suitable Soul Bone for Dugu Yan, and Ye Feng agreed and gave him a token for contacting him.
  • After Dugu Bo left, Ye Feng packed his belongings, tended to the Blue Silver Emperor, and departed from the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.
  • Ye Feng arrived in Skywater City and walked toward Skywater Academy.

Ch. 15Male Students at Skywater Academy

Ye Feng sought admission to Skywater Academy despite its rule against male students and fire-attribute Soul Masters. After demonstrating his extraordinary martial soul and level, he explained that he chose the academy because he needed help controlling its deadly backlash.

  • Xiao Xue brought Ye Feng to Director Su after learning he wanted to enroll at Skywater Academy.
  • Director Su questioned Ye Feng about his fire attribute and asked him to reveal his martial soul and Soul Power.
  • Ye Feng displayed the Nether Karma Fire Phoenix and revealed that he was a seven-year-old, level twenty-five Battle Soul Master.
  • Director Su asked why Ye Feng chose Skywater Academy over stronger academies, and Ye Feng said his martial soul’s backlash made the academy a suitable choice.
  • Ye Feng explained that if he could not suppress the growing flames, he would die.

Ch. 16Shui Bing'er

Ye Feng joined Skywater Academy after Director Su confirmed his powerful flames needed an ice-attribute Soul Master to balance them. Director Su brought him to meet Shui Bing'er, the academy's gifted Ice Phoenix student, and the chapter ended with her asking why she had been summoned.

  • Ye Feng told Director Su that his flames risked backlash and that he needed a powerful ice-attribute Soul Master to balance them, so she admitted him to Skywater Academy.
  • Ye Feng demonstrated his crimson-gold flames, and Director Su recognized their near-ultimate power and agreed they could become dangerous if uncontrolled.
  • Director Su identified Shui Bing'er, a nine-year-old Ice Phoenix Soul Master, as the academy's best hope for helping Ye Feng.
  • Director Su took Ye Feng to Ice Heart Lake, where Shui Bing'er was cultivating, and introduced him as Skywater Academy's only male student.
  • Shui Bing'er greeted Ye Feng with a faint nod and asked Director Su why she had called her over.

Ch. 17Ice and Fire Phoenix

Director Su introduced Ye Feng to Shui Bing'er because their opposing phoenix Martial Souls might help counter each other's cultivation problems. After their powers resonated, Ye Feng offered to evolve Shui Bing'er's Ice Phoenix if she joined his faction, leaving her questioning why she should trust him.

  • Director Su explained that Ye Feng's powerful fire and Shui Bing'er's Ice Phoenix might help resolve each other's cultivation problems.
  • Ye Feng and Shui Bing'er released their Martial Souls, whose phoenixes resonated as fire and ice clashed around them.
  • Ye Feng withdrew his Martial Soul when Shui Bing'er's Ice Phoenix struggled against its overwhelming heat, and Shui Bing'er apologized for being unable to help him.
  • Ye Feng asked Director Su to leave them alone and offered to evolve Shui Bing'er's Martial Soul while resolving her fading emotions.
  • Ye Feng asked Shui Bing'er to join his faction, claiming it had two Titled Douluo, and she challenged him to explain why she should believe him.

Ch. 18Return

Three months after promising Shui Bing'er a place where her Martial Soul could evolve, Ye Feng reunited with Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan outside Skywater Academy and brought them to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. The group arrived at Dugu Bo’s poison-protected valley so Shui Bing'er could see the treasure land.

  • Dugu Bo and Dugu Yan arrived at Skywater Academy, where Ye Feng and Shui Bing'er met them in disguise.
  • Dugu Bo introduced his granddaughter, and Ye Feng learned that the soul bone had gathered the poison in Dugu Yan’s body and removed its hidden dangers.
  • Shui Bing'er and Dugu Yan recognized each other as former rivals, and Shui Bing'er learned that Dugu Bo was the Titled Douluo Ye Feng had mentioned.
  • Ye Feng explained that Shui Bing’er’s Martial Soul could not yet suppress the Karma Fire within him, so he planned to take her to the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well.
  • Dugu Bo carried the group through Sunset Forest to his poison-protected valley, where Ye Feng showed Shui Bing'er the entrance to the treasure land.

Ch. 19Ultimate Ice

Ye Feng brought Shui Bing'er and Dugu Bo's group into the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well to meet the Snow Empress, who gave Shui Bing'er an Immortal Herb to help her Ice Phoenix Martial Soul approach Ultimate Ice. Ye Feng also found an herb for Dugu Yan, and both women began undergoing transformations after eating their gifts.

  • The Snow Empress welcomed Ye Feng and his companions into the medicine garden and recognized Shui Bing'er's rudimentary Ultimate Ice.
  • The Snow Empress gave Shui Bing'er an Ice Blue Crystal Orchid to stabilize and purify her cold energy.
  • Ye Feng found Dugu Yan an Earth Dragon Golden Claw Orchid, explaining that it could strengthen her Martial Soul and possibly evolve it into a Jade Phosphor Flood Dragon.
  • Shui Bing'er ate her orchid and began radiating cold as ice crystals formed on her.
  • Dugu Yan ate her orchid, felt its scorching medicinal power surge through her, and followed Ye Feng's instructions to sit and guide it with her Soul Power.

Ch. 20The Making of a Team

Ye Feng’s former teacher, Flender, and Ma Hongjun mistook the burned hut for proof that Ye Feng had died, while Ye Feng continued building his team at the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well. Shui Bing’er reached the realm of Ultimate Ice and Dugu Yan evolved her martial soul, and Shui Bing’er’s power helped Ye Feng stabilize his flame for cultivation.

  • Flender and Ma Hongjun found Ye Feng’s scorched hut empty and assumed he had burned to death, mocking him before they left.
  • At the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Shui Bing’er completed her transformation and demonstrated the power of Ultimate Ice.
  • Dugu Yan’s Jade Phosphor Serpent Emperor evolved into a Flood Dragon, and Dugu Bo thanked Ye Feng for saving and helping his granddaughter.
  • Ye Feng and Shui Bing’er joined their ice and fire powers, creating a balance that calmed Ye Feng’s restless flame and let him cultivate without restraint.
  • Dugu Bo noticed Dugu Yan staring dreamily at Ye Feng and wondered whether she still had a chance with him.
