Han Bing let out a breath, feeling a little nervous.

Han Bing furrowed his brow and thought, There's no lock, not even a seam. How am I supposed to open it?
The more Han Bing thought about it, the stranger it seemed. Why had his father said he could only open it after awakening his Martial Soul? Could this thing be connected to Martial Souls?
With that, he summoned his Martial Soul.
A blue candy appeared in his hand.
He looked at it. It had no Soul Power; it was just a grape-flavored candy. He decided to give it a try and placed his Martial Soul, the candy, on top of the box.
Something miraculous happened.
The box began to flash with blue light, and his Martial Soul instantly merged into it.
The box then split open, revealing a blue fruit shaped just like an apple.
Han Bing stared at it. Why did this fruit look so familiar?
Why did it look just like the Logia Devil Fruit, the Freeze-Freeze Fruit?

Han Bing held the icy-blue fruit in both hands. Since he was only six, it was as big as a balloon in his hands.
A cool sensation immediately flowed from the fruit.
His eyes rolled. "Whatever. I'll take a bite first!" He bit into it, then swallowed without even chewing.
In an instant, his expression twisted.
"Blegh, blegh, blegh! This tastes awful!"
But in the next moment, a wave of cold surged through his body, and he could suddenly sense the Ice Element.
An icy-blue aura burst from his body. In an instant, the entire house was frozen over.
He stared at his hands in disbelief. With just a thought, he could turn them into ice.
With another thought, his entire body could transform into ice.
He beamed with joy.
"Hahaha! It really is a Logia Devil Fruit, the Freeze-Freeze Fruit. So what need do I have for another Martial Soul? I just need to develop the fruit's abilities. But how did my father get this box?"

This Ice Element was a Second Martial Soul, born because the Freeze-Freeze Fruit's power had changed his bloodline.
Han Bing stared in disbelief at the Candy Spirit in his left hand and the Ice Element Martial Soul in his right.
