Qin Jiuxiao spotted Xue Ke, greeted her with a smile, then led Zhu Zhuqing and the others to seats in front of her.
The classroom resembled a modern lecture hall, with each row of seats higher than the one before it. Even those sitting in front would not block anyone's view.
Qin Jiuxiao glanced around. The room could hold over a hundred people, making it one of the larger classrooms at Heaven Dou Royal Academy.
The moment Qin Jiuxiao sat down, Xue Ke eagerly leaned forward.
She draped herself over the back of her chair, rested her chin on her arms, and blinked her large, bright eyes.
"Jiuxiao, I haven't seen you for days. I thought you weren't in this class! I asked my brother the crown prince afterward, and he had to assure me several times before I believed him. Where have you been?"
